When the people that pray for riches, houses, cars, women, and such (like they do so often in religions) realize that their prayers aren't being answered. When they realize that God will not answer their prayers simply because they are lowly selfish humans.

Ever read the Chrysalids before, now that's some scary $|-|17 that can really turn one off of religion. But as to your question (basing my opinion on the book), I'd say somehwere within 100-300 years.
Now some people will try to convince me that it's just "a book", but yet it talks about some very real issues in our world today, the main one i beleive was a mass nuclear war that destroyed (radiated) the world (of course everyone thought "God" was smiting them and in order to restore order they had to obey the Bible and this "edited" version of the Bible [forgot what it was called]).

Don't hold your breath. Jesus said that the gates of hell will not prevail against His church, and they have not and will not. Man has been trying to kill off Christianity since Chrisianity began, starting with the disciples. The more you persecute it, the more it grows. So give it your best shot. You or any one else will not succeed any better than those who burned Christians as torches, or those who threw them to the lions. It will only make it spread. You cannot win a battle against God. No "joke' could have survived the persecution that the Church of Jesus Christ has suffered throughout history to spread and flourish as it has. You're fighting a losing battle.

Im sure in generations to come, free thinking will have bigger numbers in society but the belief system is instilled in societies, especially when in some parts of the world you get killed for not believing in a god.

I hope that the obvious absudity of religions like Mormonism and Scientology with their easily disprovable doctrines will bring ALL religions into question. Is one mythology any sillier than another?

We don't know the day or time that God has chosen to do away with Christendom (false religions). But judging by the events that are going on in this world, it probably won't be long.

couple hundred years at least.
Once the united states gets tired of it, it will be only the incredibly poor who buy into it. Then it will kind of fade out like most of the other ones
