sadly i might be a nerd on the bible bs, but how it goes is, if you totally rely on following ten commandments leviticus bs that applies to former jews becoming christians, then you may not have a tatoo promoting some sort of worship of the dead. however, if you were not previously jewish and believe in the good lord jesus christ you may get a tatoo as long as it is not an immoral one-acts in the new testement basically says that old testament laws do not really apply to people who had otherwise been doing so all there life as long as they were not immoral sins. since the old testament does not even call tattoos in worship of ancestors immoral, i don't think that it would be against any denomination. however, i don't know your's and could be wrong. i've been baptized 9 times though.

There is nothing in the scriptures against Christians getting tattoos. Tattoos which are x-rated or tats which protray ungodly life styles would be considered wrong, but an appropriate tattoo would be just fine.

Our body Is the temple of God.
Leviticus 19:28 (amplified version) which says, "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print or tattoo any marks upon you: I am the Lord."
That 's pretty clear to me.
However, you can repent and God will forgive you If you turn away from your sin,and completely surrender to Jesus Christ. Today Is the day is salvation..Tomorrow maybe too late.

There is no religious stricture against getting tattoos. Traditionally the people who got tattoos were sailors or convicts. Nowadays it is accepted on both sexes and in all classes of society. You may or may not think this is a good thing.
It is important to remember that removal of tattoos is both difficult and expensive. What seems cool as a youngster may haunt you for years when you are more mature.

Yes, the bible clearly indicated that Christians should not get tattoos.
The indicated in Leviticus 19:28 (Amplified) which says, "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print or tattoo any marks upon you: I am the Lord."

christians can get a tattoo, but what you get is the key to remember.
Your body is a temple and gift from God. If you get something that is really meaningful and causes no harm, and doesn't conflicts with the ten commandments, you can.

an important scriptural principle on issues that the bible does not specifically address is that if there is room for doubt as to whether it pleases God, then it is best to not engage in that activity.
we need to remember that our bodies, as well as our souls, have been redeemed and belong to God. although 1 corinthians 6:19-20 does not directly apply to tattoos, it does give us a principle, "what? know ye not that your body is the temple of the holy ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? for ye are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."
this great truth should have a real bearing on what we do and where we go with our bodies. if our bodies belong to God, we should make sure we have his clear "permission" before we "mark it up" with tattoos

i dont think personally that jesus is going to penalize you for getting a tattoo. it's just ink embedded in your skin. maybe it would be a little rash to go out and get satan himself drawn on your back, but i know plenty of christians have tattoo's and when you think about it hard enough there's really no reason it would be a party foul. go for it.

Our bodies are temples for Him, the Holy Spirit and as such I would not ever have a tattoo. It's graffiti on the house of the lord.

It is very common amoung Copts (Egyptian Christians) and Ethopians to have cross tatoos so the issue is what is the tatoo..
if it glorifies God then there is no issue.
