everytime I see someone say this ... it just confuses me more
Catholicism can be traced back to at least Constantine , and is thought to be even traceable to the disciples
this was the first church and seemed to be the only Christian church for some 1700 years

so when a born agian Christian claims that Catholics are not Christian ... does their religion only begin from the time of the seperation ?
doesnt that make it a very young religion ?
and if not ... then do you just blank the history of Christianity all together from your minds ?
that is a lot to blank out

I've been asked to stand for my baby cousin, to become her godfather. Our extended family is typically Roman Catholic although not everyone practises it. What I want to know is, is it morally wrong for me to accept to look after my cousin and her faith, and pledge allegience to a God I'm not sure I believe in, even if I will do my upmost to look after her as long as I am breathing?

What are some cheap affordable gifts that we can give the whole family.

most boys are circumcised and i thought it was so they the skin wouldn't collect dirt that was hard to get out and that would prevent a infection. however i just came across a site that relates circumcising to foot bounding. they make it sound wrong when i always thought it was good for the baby. they make it sound like it takes away pleasure from sex and also the pain last weeks...when i thought it only lasted a day not even like a hour maybe.the site also says boys have died from it. so why do we do it? is it just really about looks? or does it have a health benefit? is it something our culture just does or is it really safer then being uncircumcised? the binding of the feet were just for pleasure so is circumcising just pleasure?

It doesn't seem so. You people who call yourselves good Christians judge tremendously!!! Do you even read about other religions? I'm an Atheist, and yes I have read your Bible, the Torah, and many other religous books and I turn them away for the theory you don't even read about! that i am a Christian.
my parents are catholic.
i attend a Christian Bible Class,
because Christians have the same books.
i am a young teenager.
I used to be catholic
but now i am christian,
i know they will be mad because i remember my mom asking me in a loud voice "are they trying to convert you?"
i guess that means that she doesnt want me to be christian.
HELP !
i want to tell them badly.

and dont say that catholics are Christians.
Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven !
there are many differences between Christians and catholics
catholics:
say the rosary
call a priest "father"
pray to statues & Mary
believe to get to heaven by good works

arent these sins ?

I made a Legitimate Post about "El Dia de Muerte" the "Day of the Dead" and it was deleated for a "Violation of the R&S Guidelines...BUT...they never said Which Guidelines & they Never Do!!! Why??? Is it as most here believe a Bias towards catholics, if we go by R&S History of Actions the Answer must be YES!!! Do they Relalize what Hipocrites they are, Deleating Legitimate R&S Qs'. while Allowing Pornography??? I'm not looking to convert, sorry. I'm just curious about it. I saw some other questions and answers but I was overwhelmed by the amount of information so I thought I'd just ask for myself. I like to be informed about religions even if I don't myself follow them. I find there is something useful to be learned from many of them. I truly know nothing about scientology, so I thought I'd ask. Also I wonder if its values tend to favor any stances towards issues in todays society. I am ignorant, I don't pretend not to be, but merely curious, I have nothing against scientology or scientologists.

How would you tell the people that are poor, starving and dying of disease in Africa to enjoy thier life?

How would you tell the people that are dying all over the worl through warfare, sickness poverty to enjoy thier life?
Are you saying Life is *Luck of the Draw* some are born to be lucky and some just were given a bad hand???

In the Animal Kingdom some were lucky to be born King of the Jungle and some were just unlucky to be born Bambi and be devoured?

Is life just one stoke of luck bad or good to you?

The below R&S post states just this...yet, when I search the internet...the only one I find that took an oath on the Quran was Keith Ellison. Is this true or an urban legend as it relates to Barack Obama? Can anyone point me in the direction to this answer.

I am a fiscal conservative and social liberal...However, I could not support someone who would not salute the flag of the country that he wants to govern. In addition, if he doesn't want his hand on the Bible fine...but, he should not put his hand on anything....
