Confession
Definition: A declaration or an acknowledgment, either publicly or in private, (1) of what a person believes or (2) of his sins.

The manner in which the priest is addressed

Sins that can be forgiven

Mark 3:29, “Let anyone blaspheme against the Holy Spirit and he will never have forgiveness: he is guilty of an eternal sin.”

How penance is to be shown
Frequently the confessor directs that the penitent say a specified number of “Our Fathers” and “Hail Marys.”

Matt. 6:7, “In your prayers do not babble [that is, utter in a meaninglessly repetitious manner] as the pagans do, for they think that by using many words they will make themselves heard.”

Matt. 6:9-12,“You should pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, . . . forgive us our debts.’” (Nowhere in the Bible are we commanded to pray to or through Mary. See Philippians 4:6,

Rom. 12:9, Do not let your love be a pretence, but sincerely prefer good to evil.”

I do not want any religious because there were many wars just because of religious reasons, and some time there are some disagreements in the bibles, for example, there are saying that, men are evil but if they are wealthy, they can go to heavon and poor people cant.

thought my question was within the bounds of good taste, and less than 2% that took offense to the question. How come Yahoo allows less than 2% of the participants to dictate to the other 98% of us?
By the way, if you think I posted this question yesterday, you are right, but someone had that question also deleted before I had a chance to read the answers, so here I am again. Do you think it was Yahoo that didn't like my second question, or was it someone with a personal problem that can object anytime he/she pleases and get the complete cooperation of Yahoo?

My French teacher taught me this and I wrote it down somewhere and I don't have it. 'Je suis' in French can mean something other than 'I am' as well, but I can't remember what it is.
'Je suis ce que je suis, mais je ne suis pas ce que je suis'
You might think this would mean 'I am what I am, but I am not what I am.' But the last 'je suis' means something else.

Does anyone know? Google doesn't seem to be helping me!

a friend of mine is a lesbian. she read a comment from one of her guyfriends on facebook that said he did not bash homosexuality or anything but believes its a sin because of his religious beliefs (despite that his brother is gay) my friend got really upset about this. i worry that she might turn away from christianity, become bitter, and attack my own beliefs. i wanna talk to her. how should i go about doing this? i'm afraid of offending her as well or not explaining it properly.

My daughter has changed.She is lonely and often times in our desire for people and love we make bad choices.Well she has and she has declared war against me.She says I must respect her. It sometimes becomes physical and results in injury. I do not what to hurt her but she wants to lay hands on me. She went on a vacation with these girls and they ended in a fight because the girl accused her of taking her money.Yet the maid found her money.My daughter wants friends so bad that she is looking over their faults.But she is not seeing my situations when she gets angry. She has a boyfriend that cheats.She ask me to tell her what she should do and when I do it only gets worse.Then she talks about me reading the Bible and saying things I know nothing about. I know it is a spiritual attack against me.I need help to pray about this. I try not to say anything,then she says negative things. Today, I was talking to a guy named Frankie. One thing he said I found quite odd. I happen to wear a lot of black and I like it very much. okay, so this guy I know on facebook sent me this email asking about what movies I like and then it somehow turned into talking about british movies and then he wrote this:

"How do you feel about British accents ?I´ve been told British accents go down very well in the USA.
I study English in my town - my teacher is a woman of British descent and she places special emphasis on my accent- which leans towards American English (because of the movies, I guess) Besides, I tend to use American words rather than British, -eg , diaper or sidewalk instead of nappy or pavement.
Anyway, I have an English friend who says i sound Irish (!)"
