Yes, I will admit I have seen many girls with glasses who are geeks. But the movie/tv show people are over doing it! Every tv show or movie has the geek who wears glasses! I dont get it! I am offended!! WHY?!

because originally girls were not suppose to study at all; just marry well and make lots of babies. You only need glasses (in most cases) if you read or study books. Especially in the old days when you were reading by candlelight. So the only girls who needed glasses were those who would study and their eyes went bad. They were going against the rules of society. Now, times have changed but the steriotypes haven't.

You're right about the media influence in this matter; however, I've seen plenty of girls that wear glasses and are definitely NOT geeky. Keep in mine that people of other people wear contacts instead. All this taken together and it seems pretty ridiculous. Some girls actually look better with glasses (if you can imagine that).

I don't think that, Josh Of Flordia, underneath those pair of geeky glasses is a Hot Cutie, its true, just because some girls have glasses doesn't mean they are not cute. I will take a girl in a pair of geeky glasses any day. Have a Nice day! 8>)

It is generally assumed that you wear glasses because you read alot, and the reading has strained your eyes.
The glasses also cover up a girl's face; she obviously doesn't care about how she looks, because she chooses to wear them instead of getting contacts, so she MUST be a geek!
(I love my glasses.)

Why do you care? What are you going to do, walk around blind running into things? You need glasses, Thank God you were born after 1284 when glasses were first invented. Think of all the years millions of people that walked around blind.
For those of us visually impaired it just gets better and better. When I was a kid i wore coke bottles to correct a prescrption that is much better than the one than I wear today, but my glasses are much thinner. We have laser surgery that we can get to correct it.
