What are some cheap affordable gifts that we can give the whole family.

Seriously cheap. I may barely afford $5.00 a person. I know it's sad but I still wasnt to give something to everyone. I was thinking christmas cards, do you have any suggestions?

-Buy or find a glass jar. Find a recipe for chocolate chip cookies or a type of cookie, whatever you like. Fill the jar with all the dry ingredients (you know, like the flour, chocolate chips, baking soda, sugar, etc) and layer them so that they look pretty. Type up the directions on how to bake the cookies and punch a hole in it. Use some ribbon and put it through the hole and then tie it around the mouth of the jar... tie it in a ribbon to look pretty. A perfectly cheap gift for someone who enjoys baking cookies (maybe grandma or mom?)

-Buy some cute Christmas ornaments and sign them with a small tip Sharpe marker. Write something like, "Christmas 2007 Love, ______"

-Go somewhere cheap like Walmart or a cheap fabric store. Buy some yards of fleece. Go to Google and type in "fleece tie blankets" to learn how to make them. It's really easy and fairly cheap. Make a fleece blanket for everyone.

-Buy some cheap photo frames at Walmart or the Dollar Store and decorate them. Fill the frame with a picture of you and the family or family member.

-Buy a big bag of plain see-through bulbs (Christmas ornaments). Fill them with cotton or something else that looks like snow. On the outside, paint something Christmas related like a Santa, a snowman, or whatever else you'd like. Paint on some words like "Merry Christmas! Love, ____"

-On colored paper or decorated paper type up or write out some of your greatest memories with the family or a certain family member. Write out all the hilarious and fun things you've done together.

Hope this helps. Good luck and I hope you have a very merry Christmas!

If they like going hunting or fishing get them a pen or coffee mug with a deer or fish on it. Get a 5 or 10 dollar gift card from Wal-Mart for each person. At Wal-Mart they have those travel size things over there in HBA. Or if you live close to a mall one of those stores that have the travel size hand lotions, hand sanitizers, body sprays, etc. If there is a Dollar Tree around where you live, that would be perfect. Or any other dollar store, my favorite is the Dollar Tree. Or if you have a recent picture of yourself, get some copies made, and go buy some cheap frames and give a few of them out. Grandma's always love pics of their grand kids. I live in a small town area so these would be the only options for me. You would have more options in a city. Just remember it's only the thought that counts. When I was your age I used to want to go all out too, and buy everyone something in my family. I bought some expensive stuff and I was only making min wage. Thinking back I realize they would have been just as thrilled with a card, or a little deal of hand lotion or something.

Food! Seriously...everyone has got to eat. This may sound dumb, but if you have a dollar store (or you can sometimes get the ones that look like lunch bags with no string on them) get a bunch of gift bags and fill them with an apple, orange, and a banana....or get some homemade cookies from the bakery....as many as $5 will go. You can get boxes of chocolate covered cherries for right around $1 a box. What about nuts? Everyone loves nuts! Just maybe put a pretty bow on them??? If you have cards left from last year, just tear the cover off and write on them who the gift is for. I do this every year...no need to buy gift tags.

Are made those that being made from home.
A lovely scrap book. A photo with a nice frame.
Something that you knitted like a scarf or a blanket. Wool is not all that expensive any more.
Crafted items. Or cooked items such as fudge, cookies, Christmas stollens. Handmade pottery all that .. Its means more than purchased stuff. Believe me. Or what I do , keep nice jars and than prepare the dry ingredients to make cookies out of them or bread or muffins.
Mix it layer by layer . Than close it , and put a ribbon arround it. Makes a great gift.

Remember all those candles that you burn, that come in these cute glasses keep them. They are useable.

I know this really depends on the person, and may not really work for the guys, but what about holiday scented candles? You could even put a ribbon around it, or bundle 2 or 3 smaller ones together with a ribbon, or on a cute candle holder. I personally would love something like this, but then again I love candles. And you can find some really yummy holiday scented candles at the Dollar Tree, so it wouldn't be expensive. Good luck!

I always just send E-Cards for x-mas. There free and people won't feel left out. Plus it saves me from spending 41 cents on every one of my family members. And for your imediate family I would make some gifts. Last year I went to the 1$ store and bought picture frames and customized them with twigs, seashells, leaves, beads, and other things that I had around the house. Than I put in a cute family pic and gave it as a gift.
