If you baby's father sees that you're pregnant and that you are going through poverty...?

Wouldn't he stop and try to help me or even try to talk to me? Why would he just ride around and not say anything and?

Obviously he doesn't like you. It sounds heartless, but is there a reason he should like you? If he was going to care about you or the baby, he would have done so at the beginning when he found out he was going to be a dad. He would have likely married you at the time. As cruel as it is, no one can make one person like another person even if they are carrying a baby for them.

You do need a lawyer to get child support once the baby is born, but you should never expect the father to help you voluntarily or care in any way about either of you. He may resent you and blame you for the pregnancy. He may hate you and the baby for the rest of your lives.

He sounds cold and immature, but there must have been a reason you selected this guy to have a baby with. It is unethical and unfortunate, but you need to get on with life and plan on making choices without his involvement unless he chooses later on to be involved. It is unlikely that he will.

You need to stop acting dependent like a child. You are about to be a mother. You are now the grown up. You do not get to find people to bail you out anymore. That is how children think. You need to find a way to make your own life. Do things that will make you and your baby happy, safe and well.

I am sorry this sounds mean, but I have been poor and I do have children. I have seen a lot of women look to bad men for help instead of acting independently and fixing their own lives. Plan on no more men, plan on working an awful lot, plan on running constantly to support the child's needs. For most of human history women have been dependent on men and so we teach women to look for a husband as a protector. Some men are bad! The lesson from more classical cultures is to involve entire families to join them in marriages. We do not do that in our culture. So, if a woman doesn't find a nice guy, she needs to plan to be alone.

It isn't fair, but fairness ends on playgrounds.

Because he is a heartless bastard who needs his middle wicket cut off. Men should have an insensitive detector so that if they are capable of leaving their own flesh and blood, their d ic k should stop functioning.
I am struggling to put food on the table for me and my son and my sons dad comes strolling in ONCE a month to see his child with Prada shoes and Gucci Jackets, Blackberry phones and iPod videos for himself! They are just evil and I hate them all! Just try and forget him and raise the baby to be like you, strong and great unlike him.

Because he may not be concerned about you or the baby.

My advice, get a lawyer and secure your rights. And begin suing for child support.

This is why it is important to try to assure that someone loves you before you make babies with them. That way you are somewhat secure that they wouldn't leave...
