Lol, im sorry im just wondering.
I always celebrate it, so do my parents, but my parents are both, well my dad believes in god but doesnt assign himself to any religion and my my mother is agnostic. Anyways, Christmas in our household is always a really big thing, but has never been a "Were celebrating jesus's birthday thing" considering ive been brought up with the whole idea that i can be whatever i feel like ( i have rather liberal parents ) Dont get me wrong, it isnt all about the gifts, its about having family and friends come together, we sing songs, its really not so superficial that we only care about the presents. I was just wondering if it really makes you a christian, even if you dont believe in that. It sounds dumb, i know, but im 15, therefore allowing myself to ask slightly dumb and juvenile questions. Kay, ill stop rambling now =P

Do you agree that the world would be a better place without religion or any belief in a superior being?

I am well educated and work with many white and asians or in school.

But they just don't notice me.

But when ANY black guys see me they are always trying to get my number and are very into me and my shape. I am curvy.

I know it is not education, it is true what they say that black men like thick and white men like thick.

Oh, and on the other hand my ditzy black friend (who is a size 0) attracts nothing but white guys.

1- 0%
2- 100%
3- 50%
4- 10%
????

Well the correct answer is 10% and just get yourself a red letter bible and see for yourself.... about 23 of the 27 books of the new testament actually contain words that were supposedly spoken by Jesus PBUH.

Now my question to you dear Christians is this... What do you really know about jesus (PBUH)??? His mission was only 3 years, his words are intermingled in the bible and taken out put back in...How do you know what he really said? How can you trust the source if it has been altered so much? how do you sleep at night? knowing that perhaps you might be wrong?

I have decided to make a robot costume out of boxes for my 18 month old son. Any ideas on how I can decorate it, with things around the house. Something he would like, and would make him wanna wear it.
Its 2 boxes, one for the head; one for the body. It doesn't go over his knees cause he can't walk in it if it's too long. It's painted silver, with a big hole cut out of the front for his face; two holes in the body for his arms.

We believe the earth is 6000-10000 years old.

We believe there was a Global Flood 4500 years ago and Noah’s Ark saved two animals of every kind.

We believe we were created and that we didn’t evolve.

We believe Noah only brought all the “kinds” of animals onto the Ark because all the species in the world and their respective food couldn’t physically fit in the boat. Then after the Flood, all the kinds of animals super-evolved into all the species we see today in a few hundred years.

We believe that the salt content of the oceans were so low that when the Flood hit all the ocean and lake dwelling fish could survive together despite no evidence.

Hello, all:

Ah, Halloween... the time of year when some people suddenly take an interest in Wicca and Paganism in a not-so-good way.

They call Halloween "the Devil's birthday". They accuse non-Christians of sacrificing animals to Satan. They trot out the old "Great God Samhain" myth and make broad accusations about the "evil" that Halloween represents.

All this, I will admit, makes me a little crazy as I try to put out the numerous misinformation fires. Does it do the same to you?

Or do you believe in it at all?

"The word stigmata comes from the Greek term stigma, which means "mark." In Christianity, it is believed that some people develop wounds supernaturally, which are just like those received by Jesus when he was crucified: wounds on each hand, one on the side, and one both ankles. It is believed that these marks are signs from God that the person suffering from them is holy. Saint Francis, founder of the Franciscan order of monks, is the first person recorded to have shown stigmata. "

I have noticed that many answers in the Religion section receive high numbers of thumbs down and in equal porportion to their contacts, I also notice on the same question other groups of contacts have proprotionately the same number of thumbs downs. I have also read some finger pointed from one set of contacts against the others about their habit of just thumbing down because of who the answerer is not because of their actual answer's truthfulness to the question.

So do you or have you block voted and if so why?
If not, what do you think of the practice?

...because I just can't deal with life or whatever. So...anyway... if I repent, say around the 32nd floor on the way down, will God forgive my sin of suicide and take me into Heaven?

Or will I just be a massive stain on the sidewalk that some poor city worker will have to scrape up?

I posed a question a few days ago about how atheists believe the way they do. I must admit, some of the answers were very good and quite convicing. But some of the answers also stimulated much thought and I came up with a question, that is you follow science, really is not that far fetched.

You cannot argue that modern science is heading raidly in a direction that leaves us and will continue to leave us in awe. Human genome project, soon the ability to grow livers, kidneys, hearts in a lab for replacement, space travel, new energies. The list goes on.

Mty thought that eventually in probably 5000 years (if we do not destroy ourselves) man will be immortal. We will be able to create life, travel to distant planets. We will be able to download or brains into organic man-made brains, upload them into new host bodies, etc, etc, you get the idea. So when, not if we achieve all these things: creation, immortality, space travel, planet seeded, etc. would you then consider us to be God?

We believe the earth is 6000-10000 years old.

We believe there was a Global Flood 4500 years ago and Noah’s Ark saved two animals of every kind.

We believe we were created and that we didn’t evolve.

We think that the population was 8 after the Great Flood yet somehow there were thriving great civilizations before, during and after the Flood like the ones in Sumer, Akkad and Egypt shown by ancient artifacts and architect.

We believe that all the mountains and all the other geologic formations were formed in the last 6000 years despite that some formations are obviously more weathered and eroded than others (Rockies vs. Himalayas).

We believe that God displaced all the light from the stars to earth so Adam could see the starlight and that this goes against all laws of physics and astronomical research saying that that some stars are much further away than 10,000 light-years.

Understand now, evolutionists?

More often than not!

I was recently in hospital for three weeks, then spent several more weeks recovering at my parents’ house. While I was away I told a friend she could stay at my apartment.
When I moved back, I found: white towels dyed pink, things broken or missing, private files on my computers had been accessed, she had invited guests over that I didn’t know, the place smelled of cigarette smoke and things like food, soap, shampoo etc had been used up and not replaced. No offer was made to help with the cost of replacing everything, which was more than I could afford as I had to leave my job due to my illness. When I told her I was moving back, she told me it would be easier for her if I stayed with my parents for another week, which I thought extremely rude.
She was good to me while I was in hospital but now I’m out, I’ve heard almost nothing from her. It seems that now she isn’t getting anything from me (like a free place to stay), she doesn’t want to know me. How do I deal with this gracefully?
