????

Well the correct answer is 10% and just get yourself a red letter bible and see for yourself.... about 23 of the 27 books of the new testament actually contain words that were supposedly spoken by Jesus PBUH.

Now my question to you dear Christians is this... What do you really know about jesus (PBUH)??? His mission was only 3 years, his words are intermingled in the bible and taken out put back in...How do you know what he really said? How can you trust the source if it has been altered so much? how do you sleep at night? knowing that perhaps you might be wrong?

1- Muslims used to pray towards to Jerusalem and then Allah order to pray towards to mecca

2- Jesus if you are an ex-muslim you must know did not call himself Christian. As a matter of fact the term Cristos took root in the year 66 AD after his ascencion into heaven...

But of course I assume you are not an idiot and you know that!

Where does a Muslim get this information? was there someone who followed Jesus everywhere He went and recorded every word He said?
The Bible says that a book could not contain ALL what Jesus did.
Beside, I will take that "10%" any time. He is Truth. He is wisdom. He is My Lord and Savior. He is risen from the dead.

Mohammad is still in the grave.

I worship a living Jesus. Mohammad can no longer minister to people. The Holy Spirit is with all believers in Christ.

One last thing, No greater love than to lay down your life for another. Mohammad did not do that...Jesus did.

amen.

You asked your question wrong. Initially you asked: What percentage of Jesus's words are actually contained in the New testament? what you meant to ask was: What percentage of the New Testament is Jesus' words? because no one knows how many words Jesus actually spoke. I am sure its alot more than what is in 4 books. But we get a clue:

Jn:21:25: And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

If Jesus did so many works that the world connot contain them, how many words do you think he actually spoke?

Now to your point.

We can trust scripture because Jesus fulfilled 100's of prophecies that were written before He came. And you can test them:

You can prove God's Word in 3 ways::

1. Do the word in doctrine and witness truth in your life-

John 7:16-17:
"...'My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me. If any man is willing to do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it is of God, or whether I speak from Myself.' "

2. The Holy Spirit will bear witness of Christ (Jesus is the Word of God - John chapter 1)-

John 15:26:
" 'When the Comforter is come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness of Me.' "

3. Confirming signs-

Mark 16:20:
"And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the Word by the signs that followed."

Honestly I'd be more inclined to believe Jesus any day more then Muhammed! What he DID say (Where did those statistics come from?) is what matters !
All books have been altered, the Koran included. Because we believe that the bible is the inspired word of God we trust that his word is still there for us. I sleep well at night actually.
You have no proof of these statistics, please provide some.
A red-lettered bible does not prove anything, sorry! It's just a tool to easily find what Jesus spoke himself.

Far less than that, the New Testament only records a handful of the speech in Jesus' life mostly over a span of three years and a brief moment when He was 12. I'd say it's less than a millionth of a percent.

As for your other questions, the answer is the Holy Spirit for the Word is the inspired word of God and when one reads it they hearken only to the words of the Spirit not man.

Actually most often the words He spoke were His Fathers words .
Jesus was here to teach what His Father Jehovah wanted Him to teach.
The Good News of a Kingdom that would save mankind from Adamic Death.
The Idea of God Father as eternal ruler of this Heavenly Kingdom with Jesus as King.
The restoration of the Earth to perfection for Humans, and the cleansing of Satan from the Heavenly realm for ever!!!!!
These things were NOT Jesus words, they were the words of Jehovah God that he gave to Jesus to reveal to us humans.
SO I would say, less than 10% were actually Jesus words alone!
Was not Hisd mission to spread His own thoughts, but those of His Heavenly Fathers!

Good trick question!

The correct answer is we don't know. Do you really believe that in Jesus' 331/2 years of life on earth, 10% of everything he said is in the Bible???? If that is the case, he didn't say much!

Actually it would be less than that if you're talking about everything that He spoke. The gospels only give us the highlights of His journey here on earth.

If even Jesus' words are in question then why should't we question yours?

Are you trying to put yourself above Jesus?

Gee.. I wonder....
