You just don't seem to understand, how valuable religion is to a lot of people in times of crisis, to help them hang in there during trying times. A lot of people would find life very rough without their faith to help heal them when sick, or protect them when in danger. Even people getting off drugs and alcohol, tend to do well in programs that look to a higher power for help. Also people like some form of a moral compass to guide them. I say this not as a fan of traditional religions, which I think could do a lot better, but you must give credit, where credit is due. We do live in such an over indulging materialistic age, that ones spiritual senses and intuition can get dulled. Meditation/prayer, a healthy diet, mind-body exercises and less over indulgence can resharpen ones spiritual intuitive senses. God is a good, and a moral God, who will treat well, all who contribute positively to the world.

I would say it might be better if people didn't feel they needed religion. Humans have a great many flaws. I know some are going to be offended by it but the need for religion is a human flaw.

Clearly there are people who wouldn't know how to behave without it. I have met many people who feel that morals come only from religion. I have no choice but to believe them because they're speaking for themselves. So if they're morals come only from their religion what would they be without it?

If it keeps the religious from losing all control and I don't say that facetiously since it is the logical conclusion from their own statements then perhaps it's better that those who need it have it.

You will get your wish. In a short time the anti-christ will come to rule and the only religion allowed will be the the one world religion, besides Israel which will be given a 7 year treaty to be allowed to practice Judaism.

yes and no

in a way yes because people would stop using "My eternal life or salvation is more important" as an excuse and would actually deal with their problems now and they'd stop blaming it on god or satan. there would be less wars and we'd be one step closer to achieving world peace

but unfortunately some people really need religion to have moral uplifting or fulfillment in their lives. some are just that weak emotionally or mentally(dont mean it in a bad way) and just need something to hope or live for.

so for the most part yes.

No but I think religion should be a very private thing. Not such a public thing.

Kept out of our schools, yes you can have your churchs. But keep it out of our schools.

I don't care what religion our politians are, and it should not have a bearing on his campaign. I will not vote for him because of his religion in fact it might determine why I don't vote for him.

I think we put too much emphasis on religion in this country. When there are really much more important things we should be worring about.

My religion does not define me, it is merely a small part of who I am. That is how it should be for everyone.

Blessings,
Aviana

Yes i do. People put to much emphasis on it, that they lose side of themselves. It turns people into corruption. People fight wars on whose religion is better is pointless. Besides heaven and hell who knows if they really are there. I believe in reincarnation but i don't put to much emphasis on it. I also don't try to push my believes on other people, except when they bug me. Alot of religious people push there religion on other people. Its wrong. People can believe in whatever they want. I do not go to church for this reason. I don't need to sit in a building to believe in what i believe in, it pointless. And no im not an anarchist so nobody call me one, or there is going to be a fight. If we all stoped fighting on who is better the world would be much better. We should all just get along. But I guess it is human nature not to get along with other people.

No however it would be good if people took responsibility for their actions in some of the so called mainstream religions.

You will find out that in other religions ( non monotheistic) people are held responsible for their actions. There is no forgiving of sins etc
