This is the Doctrine of Atonement, which was accepted by the Church three or four centuries after Jesus left the earth. It contradicts the Bible, as the following passages show: Deuteronomy 24:16: "The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin."; Jeremiah 31:30: "But every one shall die for his own iniquity ...", Ezekiel 18:20: "The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him."

Some might say but these are in the Old Testament.

Read what Jesus himself said in Matthew 7: 1-2.

"Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again."

Read I Corinthians 3:8.

"Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one; and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour."

So everybody is born without sin. Do you know that it was Paul who abolished the Mosaic law? Read Acts 13:39.

"And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses."

At most, they say we are allowed to learn about religion as long as we learn about all religions.

I have just finished the 6th grade and am going into the 9th. But, the only religions we have learned about have been Christianity, Judism, and Islam.

Doesn't 'all religions' also include the pagan and jewish and so on religions as well? Or will I learn about those later on in my school life?

I have learned about religion in my History class. Also, do you think it should NOT be required to learn about different religions, or should we just have an elective course on it?

What is it like at your school (if you still go to school) or what was it like (if you have already finished school)?

I would like to know what you think. Religion has seemed to interest me lately.

You guys keep getting my questions deleted but all I want to do is help you. You’re caught in a whirlpool, a twisting and churning torrent of guilt, deceit and betrayal. I stand on the side trying desperately to throw you guys a rope but not only do you ignore the rope, you attack me for throwing it. But I won’t give up! It is my raison d’etre to save as many of you guys as I can from the tyranny and oppression of this seething mass of filth that modern religion has become.

I was about 8yrs old. My mother thought it was so disgusting, that a white girl was in love with him. I think the movie had nothing to do with that. She just respected him. I love the song by LULU. What do you think?

Hillary Clinton in a recent New York TImes interview said she has strong faith, yet finds herself shocked that some senators do not believe in evolution and wants to prevent intelligent design and creationary ideas discussed acedemically in school. This be default leaves the discussion to philosophical materialism, secular humanism and functional atheism. Can someone really have a STRONG FAITH and deny there is rational evidence for a designer which can be academically discussed. Of course she cited no arguments a modern creationist or intelligent design person would use and gave no reason to believe she had any awareness of them.

How could a homosexual be tolerated as glorifying god or Jesus? Should such works be destroyed?

For instance, Caravaggio's Taking of Christ:

...how can I possibly be expected to believe that

a) there's a god that both loves me and would punish me in hell.

b) there's a god that expects us not to kill but finds nothing wrong with killing innocents for not being of the "Chosen".

c) there's a god who says he breathed life into a man of clay when science tells us something different with evidence.

d) there's a god who is all powerful but who needs to be exalted by us tiny imperfect beings.

e) there's a god who instructs us to pray to him but whose favorite answer to those prayers is always no.

f) there is a god who expects us to wallow in humility but who must be praised at all times.

g) there is a god who created genitals for our pleasure yet expects us to only use them in certain ways because otherwise it would be abhorant to him.

h) there is a god who created us all with love but who chooses favorites and turns his back on others without trying to improve them.

1) How come...the holy spirit is an "IT"? (Num. 11:25)

2) How come... "SOME" of "IT" can be PORTIONED OUT & distributed like a substance? At Numbers 11:17 we see: "I will take ['some' - NRSV, NJB] of the Spirit which is upon thee, and will put IT upon them" - ASV (compare KJV, RSV, NRSV, AT, LB, NEB, REB, NAB, JB, NJB, Beck).

3) How come...the H.S. can LITERALLY be "pour(ed) out"? In Acts 2:17,18, God pours out [ekxeo, ekxew] from [apo] his Spirit upon all people. Also see:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/JWquestions_and_answers_archives/message/80

4) How come...even TRINITARIAN AUTHORITIES admit that the H.S. is NOT a person?

"The majority of NT texts reveal God's spirit as someTHING, not someone" - New Catholic Encyclopedia, p. 575, Vol. 13, 1967.

"In the OT the Holy Spirit means a divine power ..." -p. 269, The Catholic Encyclopedia, 1976,

"On the whole, the New Testament, like the Old, speaks of the Spirit as a divine energy or power." - A Catholic Dictionary

Facts:Free Speech has been taken away from Churches this week under HR Bills 254, 984, 1592 and 2015 by the United States Congress. Government Is Dictating Doctrine. So now what's next? Who's next? This is very similar to legislation being Enforced in the EU and Canada with imprisonment and fines.

Wouldn't that be a little difficult for animals suited for sub-zero temperatures to walk through the deserts of the Middle East then swim across great lengths of ocean to get back to their native habitats?

Poor seals, polar bears, walruses, penguins and sea lions and various other mammals. =(

Please don't say they could survive in the ocean during the Flood, they would fatigue in a day and drown in the ocean.

I recently received an invitation from my cousin, to attend his daughter's bat mitzvah (the Jewish version of a communion, for those unfamiliar with the term) in late November.

He addressed the invitation to me, not me and 'Guest.' However, he didn't know that I have a girlfriend, and that I'd like to bring her.

I already sent the RSVP back, saying I was coming (the RSVP date was yesterday). My question is, is it proper to ask him if I can bring my girlfriend, even though I was the only one invited, and even though the RSVP date has passed. And if so, how should I go about doing it?

My girlfriend has yet to meet my family, and I thought that this would be a great opportunity for that to happen.

Thanks.

Questions:

Why in the old day, the majority of the people are racist?

And why, still today, some people are still racist?

( If they believe in the Big bang, there should be no reason to be a racist because we came from that)

(If they believe in the only one true, holy, living God that created the universe in one sentence according to Genesis "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth," there should be no reason to be a racist because we are all created in God's image)

(If they believe in Evolution (macroevolution), where species evolve into a different level of species, according to science textbooks, all of us came from a rock, and that is the Earth, if all of us came from a rock, there should be no reason to be a racist because we came from one origin, and that is a rock (Earth))

Is this the Holy Spirit speaking when you get a word of knowledge? Should every Christian try to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit? I mean when I see Christians stop everything to tell the world they hear a voice of knowledge. Is this good mental health or is it an acceptable way of saying there's someone in my head but it's not me, and it knows? Please forgive me for my silly question. Personally I would like to believe it's mentally healthy to express yourself this way...what gift is this specifically. I would like to find the gift mentioned in the Holy Bible KJV. In the King's english. Book, chapter, verse and words. Thank you!
