You are missing allot of the Bible. We are all born in sin. If you doubt this look at children between 2 and 5 years of age. They are not angles although at times they behave. Did you even read any of the last super accounts? Paul did not abolish the law he said that he counted the law as nothing because he had accepted Jesus as lord and savior and he knew that he could not be saved by the law. Jesus stated that he came not to abolish the law so the law of the 10 commandments is still in place. No one except Jesus ever lived up to the ten commandments for we have all fallen short. A person who is with out Jesus in his life can try to get all sorts of things out of the Bible that they would understand to be false if the Holy Spirit was in them to guide them through.

On the other hand Jesus said, "Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.bn For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:14-16
And at the last supper he said, "This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins." Mt 26:28
As for abolishing the Law didn't the Lord say, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean." Acts 10:15
And as for the mission of the Messiah isn't it written, "Isa But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed." 53:5
Hey but thanks for sharing your misconceptions!

actually it was
"Behold the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world" John the Baptist who Jesus said was the worlds greatest prophet up to that point
"this is My blood which is poured out for the redemption of many: So said Jesus himself the night before he would be arrested, tried cricufied... and yes... raised
"The Son of Man has not come to serve but to be served and to give His life a RANSOM for sin" Mark 10:46
Jeremiah the prophet said in chapter 31 that
31 "The time is coming," declares the LORD,
"when I will make a new covenant
with the house of Israel
and with the house of Judah.
32 It will not be like the covenant
I made with their forefathers
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
because they broke my covenant,
though I was a husband to [d] them, [e] "
declares the LORD.
33 "This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel
after that time," declares the LORD.
"I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
34 No longer will a man teach his neighbor,
or a man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,'
because they will all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest,"
declares the LORD.
"For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more."

YES, IT WAS PART OF JESUS' TEACHING:
Luke 24:25 Then Jesus said to them, “You foolish people! You find it so hard to believe all that the prophets wrote in the Scriptures. 26 Wasn’t it clearly predicted that the Messiah would have to suffer all these things before entering his glory?” 27 Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

No. But, you misunderstand even the Christian idea of atonement. They see it as symbolic death and resurrection - so that they don't have to be punished for their earthly sins. If they believe in him (and are good) they get to go to heaven after death.
They are mistaken in their understanding. His message and that of all adepts - including Mohammed - is about THIS life.
Jesus demonstrated a "way" (through an exaggerated example) to transcend the conditioned ego identity. Islam's 'unselfing' and internal jihad references this same difficult process of what other religions call illumination/enlightenment. Every adept intuits this cause/effect relationship between being/reality and attempts to explain a way out of suffering in the here and now.
Ego death and resurrection are meant as psychological metaphors for the internal process of returning to authentic being - which cannot be accomplished without discarding the self-absorbed cultural & familial conditioning of the little learned self.
What makes his approach different - and easy to misunderstand - is his demonstration that we each have a purpose (passion) that cannot be accomplished without discarding the earthbound identity completely.

Absolutely:
"We are going up to Jerusalem," he said, "and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles, who will mock him and spit on him, flog him and kill him. Three days later he will rise............For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Mark 10:33-34,45
"He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high." "

It wasnt because of the crucifixion. It was because of the atonement. Crucifixion was a small part of the atonement.
Most of the atonement was done in the Garden of Gethsemene. I dont know why people focus on the crucifixion.

Hey dude, how about
Mark [14:22] And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.
[23] And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.
[24] And he said unto them, This is *MY BLOOD* of the new testament, which *IS SHED FOR MANY*.
Or how about THIS little dandy:
Luke [22:19] And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
[20] Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in *MY BLOOD*, which *IS SHED FOR YOU*.
Bring those verses to the mosque with you tomorrow.
