They don't think they need to be saved from anything (they are mistaken, we all need to be saved by the blood of Jesus)
they just don't understand, and it is harder to try and get them to understand when they don't want to.

I study the bible. Let me reiterate this....I STUDY the bible. This isn't simply reading it and trying to interpret the words to make them conform to your idea of a all-loving god. When I study the bible, I actually read and research the history behind it. The history behind the Catholic church that canonized the bible, the early church fathers, Judaism, Egyptian mythology, various other preexisting pagan myths, and Astrotheology.
After truly "studying"...your bible holds just about as much literal truth as the funny papers in the Sunday paper.
Perhaps you should listen to your own words and actually study sometime. Satan is a myth and I'm sick of hearing Christian's use Satan as an excuse for the bad things in this world. Ignorance is the true cause of these atrocities and your bible doesn't bring the necessary knowledge to the table in order to fix these things...in fact, it exploits them in order to gain power and control the sheep that follow.

Remember the days of Noah? Well that's that. It's because they love darkness. The Lord Jesus Christ said that in John 3:19 that men love darkness and they don't like the light because they will be revealed. They just are lovers of themselves in these last days.
However not all people are like that. There are still who do what is right even when it isn't always the best thing to do. I hope you are still reading your Bible.

The time of the great apostacy is near
1 Tim 4:
1: Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2: Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3: Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

what a load of rubbish, most serious atheists i know regularly read the bible, and the torah, and the koran, we just dont believe these books are fact- doesnt mean that we deliberately commit murder or adultery just because we believe these books are fiction- most crime is due to inner city poverty not religious or non religious beliefs- i hate to point out that we are now living in the 21st century. and if what ray says is true that christianity has 20 million followers that is rather sad in a world with a population of 400 million

"Studying the bible" is a 20th century phenomenon.
Most people were illiterate for the first 1800 years of Christianity, so the depended on others to tell them about God and such. The bible wasn't even available in the common languages of the people until about 1600...for those who could read.
Please look up Pascal's wager to see why your argument utterly fails, and please consider converting to pastafarianism lest your soul be lost.

*slaps forehead* Two billion people would disagree with your claim that people don't follow Jesus.
It's not that the rest of us don't want eternal life. We just don't believe its possible, or we believe it can be obtained is a different form of the afterlife than the Christian heaven. believing in something just because you want it is ignorant. I would love to be able to fly. Does that mean I should believe I can?

I study the Bible. I'm in the process of re-reading it at the moment. Although I'm an atheist and I'm only reading the Bible to help me counter Christian nonsense. That's probably not the kind of answer you were looking for though.

Our world has so much crime because of the evil desires in our own hearts. The Bible teaches to take responsibility for our sin. Blaming it on Satan is not Biblical at all.

Well, I know many who do. That is exactly what the church is based on that I attend. It is all about knowing Christ and making Him known. We teach the Word of God, day in and day out.
