Is this the Holy Spirit speaking when you get a word of knowledge? Should every Christian try to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit? I mean when I see Christians stop everything to tell the world they hear a voice of knowledge. Is this good mental health or is it an acceptable way of saying there's someone in my head but it's not me, and it knows? Please forgive me for my silly question. Personally I would like to believe it's mentally healthy to express yourself this way...what gift is this specifically. I would like to find the gift mentioned in the Holy Bible KJV. In the King's english. Book, chapter, verse and words. Thank you!

That's exactly what the Bible says you would say:

"The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment:
"For who has known the mind of the Lord
that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ. "
I Corinthians 2:14-16

as for the gift of the Spirit called the Word of Knowledge, see I Corinthians 12:1-11

The Lord can speak through His Word. You may be reading a passage and your attention drawn to a word or two. Pursue that with other translations, concordances, commentaries.
I could site numerous examples...
Proverbs 25:2

He can speak through the Parakletos, the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. It's a thought, an idea, a suggestion but not of your own.
John 14:26, John 15:26, John 16:7

He can also speak audibly if He so chooses. Who are we to say He can't? He can do anything He wants. He's God for heaven's sake.

For those that profess same, apply this litmus test:
Does what they are saying draw you nearer to, or away from God?

If God or the Holy Spirit speaks to you,it will be more of an intuitive experience.Like you will "just know" something without ever having been told. These two entities are one in the same, with the third in the Holy triad being Jesus, the son.If you hear real audible voices, run as fast as you can away from them and get to a doctor.

When you hear a voice that is not your own, in your head it is one of three things:

- God speaking to you through the Holy Spirit
- Your own mind and thoughts
- A demonic spirit

You have to be trained by God for a significant amount of time to be able to tell the difference. And even then you have to get confirmation of things you "hear" and whether they are from God. It's kind of complicated, but it has to be done.

Assuming everything you "hear" is from God is a DANGEROUS mistake many Christians make. You absolutely have to get confirmation, make sure it lines up with the Word of God, and stay accountable (maybe share with a mature Christian and see what they think)

That's okay. The more you come to know God's word, the more you will be able to listen to the voice of the holy spirit. It's very much like having a thought, but you know it does not originate with you. I'm not sure of the verse, but there is one in particular that says the holy spirit will "bring to our remembrance" the things we need to know in any given situation. This is, of course, for those who read and retain the word of God. This is how the spirit can "remind" us, we need to know it in the first place.

I do not hear audible voices....never have. But the spirit does guide, direct, correct, comfort and convict me in the way I described, above.

I would strongly suggest that you see a doctor. I don't mean to insult you, but hearing voices can be an indication of serious mental illness. Problems like this are likely to worsen significantly over time, and if you don't deal with it now, it could jeopardize your wellbeing in the future.

In quit and in stillness during contemplative pray and depending on your disposition in prayer very often wisdom and understanding of truths within your heart are reaffirmed by the Holy spirit. Our Lord and Father has already inscribed Himself within our hearts. Our voice of conscience. This conscience has been very much abused today to the point where by severly damaging its faculty and as a result severs the relationship of right reason and truth, who is God. In so doing the image in which He created us can no longer dwell within us and we now live for ourselves. Of course we can always return to him knowing of his infinite love and mercy mercy

God or the Holy Spirit talks to us in many ways, but its usually through His word in the Bible . He can also talk to us by actions and consequences, we talk to Him through prayer He ans back in many different ways, and our consciences tells us a lot . But I'm sure if He wanted to talk directly to you you wouldn't have to ask if it was God or not you would really know it

One question no Christian can answer is how you know if that "voice" is the Holy Spirit or Satan.

Since almost no two Christians agree on all theological issues, it stands to reason that almost every Christian is being mislead in some way.

There is no objective way to determine if any of the "impulses" Christians feel are coming from the devil or from god. If it feels good to have the Holy Spirit, wouldn't that be a dead giveaway that it was really Satan talking to you?

As a Christian I feel compelled to answer this question. No, hearing voices is not spiritual, it's schizophrenic.
