Well I like your answers and you do make some valid points on my last question however. If science and religion are far apart and science is the only real substance in this universe then explain to me why Einstein and currently Stephen Hawking both believe in God?

Its hilarious to see you people mock the "brainwashed" religious people on here yet you're arrogance is laughable. So let me guess, you know more about science than both Einstein and Stephen Hawking? You're smarter than them?

So again, if religious people are so dumb and brainwashed, and you're so enlightened! Then how do you explain the fact the greatest science minds that ever lived aren't on your side?

I asked this before, but no one of the 18 answerers understood the question. I would like to know what creationists think about biologists' belief in the theory of evolution.

Why, in your mind, do the vast majority of biologists believe evolution is the right explanation for the different species we have today?

I don't want to read "Creationists are stupid".
I don't want to read "Christians are stupid".
I don't want to read "Evolution is wrong".
I don't want to read verses from Genesis.
I don't want to read about the tiny minority of biologists who are also creationists.

I just want to know - to what do you attribute the fact that most (not all) zoologists, botanists and other biologists are firm believers in the theory of evolution?
Remembering that these are biolgists working individually and in different areas of biology, who all seem to come to the same conclusion.

WHEN IN THE LAST 80 SOME ODD YEARS HAS THERE BEEN A WAR ABOUT RELIGION?
YES, IM AN ATHEIST, BUT I AM SERIOUSLY GETTING SICK AND TIRED of this being an excuse for atheists to be angry at christians.

YES, we HAD wars for religions, but have we ever had them in OUR lifetime?

So why do we, Atheists, dehumanize christians just because they had a few wars in the past, remember, it wasnt JUST christians, it was just about every religion that existed, except for the mormons and the Amish.

But seriously, give me another good couple of excuses.

And WW2 DOESNT COUNT. It had OTHER reasons of being fought, mainly economic reasons.

Sorry, had to get that off my chest, ive been seeing it in like everyone of the questions i have seen.

New York Times Reveals that European-Descended Jews are Counterfeits and have no Blood line to Abraham

The fact that most of those who call themselves Jews are not Jews (Rev. 2:9) and have no claim to the lands of Palestine because they have no genetic relation to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob can no longer be suppressed. The October 29, 1996 N.Y. Times, in an article entitled, "Scholars Debate Origins of Yiddish and the Migrations of Jews," states:

"Arching over these questions is the central mystery of just where the Jews of Eastern Europe came from. Many historians believe that there were not nearly enough Jews in Western Europe to account for the huge population that later flourished in Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine and nearby areas.

"By reconstructing the Yiddish mother tongue, linguists hope to plot the migration of the Jews and their language with a precision never possible before.

"It has even been suggested, on the basis of linguistic evidence, that the Jews of Eastern Europe were not predominantly part of the diaspora from the Middle East, but were members of another ethnic group that adopted Judaism.

"...One linguist has recently argued that Yiddish began as a Slavic language that was 'relexified,' with most of its vocabulary replaced with German words.

Knowing and Having Faith are 2 different things.
God left no proof of his existence.
He / She/ It did this on purpose.
Because if you KNOW something to be true, you can not have FAITH that it is true.
So why do people claim they "know" that God exists?
If you KNOW for a fact, then it would be near impossible to get into Heaven because you could not have faith,

I am a Catholic and know greed is a sin, but my question is: does wanting the best you can buy constitute greed?

For example, I know clothes are a neccessity, but I want to buy the best I can because I know they'll last longer and look better than some pair of jeans for $20. Is this bad for me to desire things that are the best purchase for my money... such as a $1000 handbag that I know will look good 20 years from now?

I don't desire an endless supply of shoes, handbags, and clothes which would constitute greed to me, but I do like the best and even though some people would think it's bad to desire quality (expensive) goods, this seems more logical to me because you waste money on the less expensive things that either break, wear out, or go out of style.

I don't know what to think about this.

I know the improper use and terrible spelling of English has been going on for ages now but it seems to be getting worse.
For example, I just came across a comment on a YouTube video saying: "wot a awesome song am addicted tu it alreadii "
More and more people are beginning to write like that.
Shouldn't something be done?

By the way, don't blame it on young people, I'm 16 and I don't write like that and neither do any of my friends.

I posed the question about why atheist use science as a crutch when the very basis of their belief is contradictory? In one way or another I said, how can you believe in science if nothing in science evolves from nothing. How can you use science as a crutch if the very core of your belief is illogical...NOTHING in this entire universe evolves from nothing...so to use things such as evolution and any other means of proving why God doesn't exist is senseless. How can you believe in nothing, if nothing evolves from nothing?

Now I posed the same for infinite values, and as far as the leading scientists in this world, no infinite values exist either.

SO Please atheists, instead of avoiding the question by attacking me with your typical defense mechanisms answer the question, NOTHING MORE. Something tells me you'll whip out why DO YOU use religion as a crutch, haha typical. Please answer the question dont revert to your typical finger pointing.

A week ago I attended a funeral for my great uncle, a Christian, WW II Vet, all around good guy. I was sitting in the service and thought what would this funeral be like if I were an Atheist. And I thought to myself... Are funerals sadder to someone who is an Atheist? Christians and some other faiths believe they will one day see their loved one again, but to an Atheist there is no "again". There is no hope at an Atheist funeral but at a Christian funeral there is a hope they will see him/her again. So is a funeral for an Atheist sadder than a funeral for a Christian?

Not trying to be mean or condescending here, it's an actual question that crossed my mind at his funeral. Oh and all sarcastic remarks about fairy tales can be saved, I've heard them all. Oh and to you Christians who want to bash on the Atheist in this question please refrain because you make it hard for people like me to go by Christian when you are dragging the name through the dirt. Thanks.

I feel like White people are wealth, good, gods and etc. but all these Ethnic/race groups love them so much they even kiss up to them, I want to be because for one thing I don't have to recieve racism towards me, I can get any man in the world for Example: Mexican, Native American, Asian, polish, latino and Italian men. I can even visit other Countrys but if I was white.

I'm African-American woman and there alot of racism towards us from other ethnic/race groups and I want them to look up to me, kiss up to me and having babies with me.

Can I be White or do I have to bleach my skin tone. I'm already Light skin that what I was born with light skin and I want to change it white.

I was in Manchester earlier today and there were a large group of LDS Elders and such like preaching to people.
I talked to an Elder and was quite surprised by how much i agreed with his teachings.
I'm C of E at the moment but don't really feel like i fit in with my Church as i'm the only person there between the ages of 12-16 (i'm 15) and was rather drawn in by the LDS teachings...
what to do?
