Faith is your belief in action. Belief without works isn't powerless, but Faith without works is. Since Faith requires some action and belief does not, Faith and belief are different. Many people believe in God but not everyone has Faith to follow Him. Therefore, it is your Faith that will save you, not just your acceptance of Him through belief.
God Bless you.

It is some what like a skydiver, he knows how the par chute works, and each time he jumps, he has faith that it will open, but it will only open if he pulls the ripcord, so therefore his faith without his work, he is dead.
A person that has Faith in God, and His Son Jesus, is of no good if he makes no effort to accept Him. Christ did the suffering, and died so we may have salvation, But we have to do out part and make that effort that is necessary. After we are saved, we will want to do, something, anything !!

The two words are often used interchangeably. But I think there is a slight difference. "Belief" is something that you accept as truth based on the information you've learned. "Faith" is an ingrained ability that allows us to hold beliefs.
For example. If your spouse were to tell you a story, You can accept that it is true based on the facts presented and because the evidence make sense to you. That is belief.
Or you can accept that it is true based solely on your presumption that whatever they tell you would automatically be the truth. That is faith.
Belief requires a choice to be made. Faith does not.

Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,the evidence of things not seen." Now if you believe the Bible, your abiding faith will produce results. I have many personal experiences that prove just that. If you can see it before it happens,it's not faith. It is only when you put your faith in God completely that you will begin to see the "evidence"of your faith.

i think faith is when you trust in the LORD even if you are unsure of the outcome.you trust that GODS way is the best way,the only way really and you do not concern yourself with things you do not understand.when you walk in faith it is because you have an understanding and a belief in GOD,his love, his grace, his mercy and his majesty and holiness that for you that is enough.trust, faith grace whatever name you call it will lead you home.of course your faith is demonstrated through your works but you are only saved by believing and accepting JESUS as your personal savior and following JESUS CHRIST,no one is saved by good works or huge donations to church or by simply attending services or following some ritual or tradition !!!! no one is saved by anything but the blood of the lamb that was shed at calvary!!! AMEN!
