Yes... I was raised with it. Not necessarily CALLED the law of attraction, but the prinicples behind it were studied my various members of my family for generations...

The "Law of Attraction" has been around in the Bible for over 2000 years.
It is shown in the "Golden Rule", where you do to others what you want done to you.
It is found in the principle of "sowing and reaping" (one of the reasons which churches take offering - the act of faith in giving attracts back to you).
It was the base of Abraham's faith, which started the whole Judeo/Christian faith. He "called things that be not as though they were".
And was taught by Jesus, who told us that "if we have faith, we can speak to mountain and they will obey us."
If you have read the Bible, you would have found the Secret years ago.

I think what irritates me most about this overhyped New Age literature, is that so much of it gets promoted as this ingenious novel concept. Plus, there's nothing written in 'The Secret' that you cannot find on the internet for free. The Nolte's not blowing his cash on regurgitated knowledge just because it's endorsed by The Oprah.

Yes, and it's still nothing more a trick of perspective, based on societal rules.
I think it's been around far longer than any religion. "If you're a jerk, you'll get slapped a lot" isn't exactly revolutionary.
Besides which, the Secret could also be viewed as encouraging victim blame, which I really disapprove of. ("You got hit by that car because you're a bad person and you weren't thinking positive thoughts.") Personal responsibility can be taken too far...
