Think of hell like a burning put of beans, it stinks and after it burned you just throw it away. No one will be in hell for billions of years that just not like God. According to the scriptures in the bible, hell will be on earth until God recreats it with a new heaven. God then will be on earth with redeemed mankind and the wicked will be ashes under the saints feet, never to be found again. You do not have to believe any religion but you do have to believe Jesus and the Holyscriptures.(revelation 22;)

I like the misconception that every Atheists has here. I personally would never say choose my religion or go to hell. That's not for me to judge. Jesus never had a religion for me this Christian walk is about a close and personal relationship with God. God said if you don't obey his word you will go to hell according to scriptures. Personally I have never said to anyone " you will go to hell" and i never will. And if I ever do I hope God will have mercy in my soul.

Christians say that with such conviction and the fact that they say it at all, makes others very uncomfortable.

These types of Christians are influenced by the devil who speads hate and fear obviously.

They don't see what a ridiculous assertion it is. It is merely spiritual terrorism and unfortunately some people fall for it.

I really don't think any God worth worshiping would want people to believe in / follow / worship it because they're afraid of what happens if they don't.
