We as humans don't have the authority to send anyone to hell. That right has been reserved for God the Almighty.
Even then He doesn't send you to hell. You send yourself with WHOM you've chose to serve In this life.
By refusing Jesus Christ, you've made your chioce already. There's no In between or fence riding here. It's a choice. You're either serving God or satan. That goes for everybody. But It's still your choice where you want to spend eternity.
I'd rather spend a lifetime living like there WAS a God than to die and find out there Is.
Hell's for an eternity.
By then It's too late.Today Is the day of salvation, tomorrow may be too late.

I have also asked this question and basically the overall response is:

That's God's perogative, deal with it!

I think people like Rachel H should ask themselves if someone would actually make a knowing and informed CHOICE to go to hell.

The most recent way of abdicating any responsibility on the part of a just and all-knowing, all-powerful Deity who is supposed to encompass all the higher qualities of universal love allowing such a barbaric place to exist where people are tortured for eternity, is to blame the human.

According to them, God gave us free-will, therefore it is OUR choice and OUR fault if we decide to go to hell and not God’s fault. Which is silly. If you believe God is the creator of all things and then therefore God created hell. God also created the whole system that would allow that place to be an option for people to go to as well.

Who is not responsible for such a place if not God?

No, my religion doesn't send people to hell. I'm Jewish. I think you're thinking of Christianity, Zoroastrianism, and several others. Judaism doesn't have that, we have reincarnation.

Hell (In Judaism) , is experiencing the full pain that we caused ourselves and others, after we die as we have our "live review". From this we are to understand fully what we did, why the motives underlying what we did brought that pain about, and what it caused. From this understanding and wisdom gained, we ask forgiveness of God and of those we injured, and we turn from ever doing such things again. We then emerge from that state wiser, more understanding, kinder, more compassionate, and we may then reincarnate into another body. In this way we continually rise higher and higher in wisdom, understanding and knowledge with each lifetime.

This has always been the way, in Judaism. When Jews speak of hell it is completely different than the Christian idea of hell. Most foundational beliefs in Judaism and Christianity are complete opposites, actually. Most Jews know this, but Christians and other non-Jews do not know this.

It's thought that the Church took the Zoroastrian idea of hell and incorporated it into the new Church religion. Judaism did not.

P.S. Also I should mention that Judaism does not have the concept of Original Sin. This is a twisted Church misinterpretation. Judaism believes that everyone is born with a clean, pure soul. Not "filthy as rags, unworthy of God, separated from God", and unable to do anything about it except believe in a virgin human blood sacrifice for sin named Jesus. No such thing exists in Judaism. We say prayers every day thanking God "for the soul You placed within mankind is pure". Judaism believes it is what people CHOOSE to do after they are born that determines whether they blemish their souls or not. And, as given previously, we have reincarnation, not a virgin human blood sacrifice for sin as the Messiah. We do not have such a concept for the Messiah, never have. This idea comes from ancient paganism where human sacrifice was practiced to appease the gods, and the Church chose to incorporate this into itself, far removing it from Judaism in this way and many others.

I don't get people that don't understand judgment. Why do you think that even if you were a "so called" good person that you wouldn't receive punishment for you actions.I mean how can a person even become responsible if they never receive consequences to for there actions. Everyone has done wrong point blank. The reason Christ died to save your from hell is because he loved you and he knew what hell was like and he didn't want you to go there. Being a Christian is a challenge I won't lie but it worth being able to live eternity in peace and in a place I know I will never have to worry or suffer again. I have faith in My Lord and Savior that he will deliver me from the pits of Hell.

Know this first, no religion has a heaven or hell to put anyone in. Jesus will not judge us on our good or bad works but rather if we chose to accept what God gave as a ransom from death. We condemn our selves by not accepting Jesus as Lord and because of sin we was condemned already. So if i never murdered no one that doesn't matter what matters is did i let Jesus pay the penalty for sin(braking Gods law 1john3:4) or will i pay for it.

First off I can only speak for me not a host of other Christians out there that are overzealuos and rude. But for myself, I never want to send anyone to hell. The Bible says to him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him it is sin. So you know if they don't know what their doing is a sin, then to them it isn't a sin and they shouldn't be condemmed for it. But once they are told and know that it is a sin, then it becomes sin if they continue doing it. And no I am not a "i'm better than you" Christian. I'm no better than a begger on the street. And if I ran across a begger i'd gladly give him what I could to help. I don't want anyone good person or not to go to hell. It's not a place anyone should ever be. However, as far as your statement about someone who's perfect....no one is perfect hon. Everyone makes mistakes.

A perfect person would not go to hell.

But since no one is perfect - they all sin at least once in their life - the question is pointless.

Admits to heaven is not based on being good, but on being in a relationship with God. If you have a relationship with him, you will be welcomed. If you reject that relationship, it is your decision.

God takes not pleasure in people going to hell. That is why he warns people against it time and time again. Not his fault if they do not listen.

None of us is good. I never cease to be amazed by all of the people that think they are so good. I have never met or known anyone that hasn't hurt someone else. We all say and do hurtful things in our lives. Just doing one hurtful thing means that you are not good (positive or desirable in nature) in all things. You must be good in ALL things to be worthy of heaven. And I don't know who you are talking about when you say "a person who is perfect". I have yet to meet a person that meets this description. It is a very prideful postion that you speak of..."I am good enough to go to heaven." or "I am too good to deserve hell." Who are you to make that determination? Who gave you the scales of righteousness? Only God has that power.

That is just a means of control that religious leaders like to excercise. God would not send a good person to hell.

People that try to convince others of their goodness tend to be the ones with that darkest secrets. I am glad I have some humility to doubt my goodness and strive for more.

Christians have a total ridicules idea of what hell really is and is nothing but a child's fantasy. We all create our own heaven and hell while incarnated in a material world. There are as well Christians who believe that the greatest joy in heaven is to watch all of the so-called sinners roast in hell!!
