hi everyone. i'm a 13 year old catholic, and im already having some "thoughts" about my religion. i want to stay catholic for the sake of my family and generations on, but i think the whole idea of god is ridiculous. please understand that i dont worship the devil. i just believe things like,

adam and eve - give me a break. evolution, duh. noah's arc - impossible. moses - the red sea occasionally dried out.

i feel like im letting these facts get in the way. but at the same time, "god punishing you" for calling somone a dork is just a coincidence. what should i do? i dont want to be atheist but i dont believe a LOT of catholic beliefs!

never has to tell people what her beliefs are....or that she's saved because she tries to live her life so that people ask her why she's so happy and peaceful. She lives her faith. As an Atheist I applaud her....what do you say about this?

At your school, are you allowed to talk about your religion?

At a friend of mine's school, if you talk about yours...Christianity, Hinduism, Muslim, whatever it may be...you get a full day's detention!

I agree that religion should not be taught in public schools, but does anyone else find this a little unfair? Getting a full day's suspension just for talking about your religion?

Give me your opinions or whatever you want, I'm open to all answers=)

so lets just say that everyone in the world signed a peace treaty
there were no more ( large scale ) wars
we begin to fix the global warming problem and all the natural dissasters would begin to ease up ( of course there would still be some )
would you be happy to sign this ?
would you be happy to help fix the ozone ?
would you be happy to take part in making the world better ?

Someone wins a $16M lottery, here in Canada it is handed to you ALL AT ONCE and then says "I'm not going to quit my minimum wage job and all I am planning on doing is buying a new mattress because I have back problems."

Or the people that win and DONT share with their families in need? I know one person who won $2M and his cousin, a single parent, doesnt use drugs, or drink, was living on the street with her two kids. He didnt give her one cent. He could have at least paid for a couple of months rent for her. Back then it would have been about $1000.00

I think God made a "little note" in his book over that one.

I have been disabled since 2001. I will have my BA in Management in November. Is there any chance that I could find a job that is not a sales, customer service or scretarial job (otherwise entry level). I hear of so many people getting jobs after being home with their children for 10 years. One person got a job with the DEA after being at home for 10 years.

His wife confronted me about a comment I had made and blew things way out of proportion. She wasn't nice about it either she said some really nasty things to me and made the situation so much worse. We haven't spoken since May of this year.Of course I speak to my brother-in-law since he is my husband's brother. And of course when all this happened he took her side.

If so, how would you describe it? What does it reveal? Is the universe within reflective of the universe without? When you travel inwards what appears to your mind's eye?

The symbol consists of a vertical pointed bar in the center of the grapic with a curved line with loops on both ends, Beneath that there is a short horizontal bad with sort horizontal bars on the ends, That piece cerosses the center vertical. The bottom piece of the drawing consists of a backwards F with the tail of the F curving into a forward F with the liwer bars of the F joined by a crossbar.

I have a scan of the graphic if that would help in identification.

I know Catholics refuse to allow non-Catholics to take communion in their church. I don't understand this. I thought all Christians were eligible for communion. Communion is in remembrance of Jesus not in honor of a denomination. So can someone explain to me why a Christian would deny another Christian the opportunity to take communion? A chance to honor Christ? I just don't understand.
