Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.

I think this shows God's love for His people. He loves them so much that he is sending a personal messenger to make the way safe for them! This is obviously in context a place where God sent an angel to prepare the way for a specific group of people but I believe that He loves us as much today and when we are following His will, He sends an Angel to guide our paths too!
Personally this relates to my life because at times I feel like things are too much to bear, but it helps to know that God loves me enough to send an Angel to help me through anything that is tossed in my path and BELIEVE ME, there have been a lot of obstacles recently. I have felt like giving up because my daughter has been sick for almost a year now and we have not found the cause. I am generally a tenacious person and keep digging until I get answers but sometimes I get so very tired. It seems when I am just about to give up and just figure I have to live with my daughter being sick the rest of her life, that God gives me the extra energy to handle the situation, or He opens a new door.

The same principle of the angel going before Isreal is true for us today. Not only is it true that Jesus goes before us to prepare a place for us in heaven (John 14:2-3), but the place we walk in today was prepared by God, and where we will walk tomorrow is prepared by Him also.

God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So if He sent an angel to protect and guard them, He'll do the same for me =)

I don't think about it and it doesn't relate. There aren't any angels and my grave has yet to be prepared.
