I do. Sometimes they are irritating! I found an article if you are interested. Do floaters or spots ever just appear in your vision?

I started noticing them in my right eye about 3 or 4 years ago. When I went to my eye doctor and mentioned it to him, he said is was just part of the aging process. What happens is (along with the rest of your body parts), the sclera in your eye loosens and sometimes bursts. Nothing can be done about it and it isn't a sign of failing vision. It's just annoying...something your eyes will adjust to.

About a year ago, the other eye went....

Dr. said the only thing to watch for is that the retina doesn't detach in the "sagging" process so he checks both eyes for that every visit....no problems.

Hey, my mom always said getting old is NOT for sissies......and she was RIGHT,

There are some specific eye conditions that can cause the floaters that you mention. I have them most of the time and I have a condition that affects my retinas to the point where I have little tears in them. Floaters are also attributed to debris in the eye. My opthamologist has told me that a few are ok but if my vision is disturbed by a lot of them I will have to go to the local hospital and have my eyes flushed out....seeing as how our local hospital doesn't have an A&E anymore I hope this doesn't happen or I will probably go blind before I find a hospital that has an A&E anywhere near.

How old are you? how long has this been going on? People who have nystagmus (rapid twitching of eye) generally have floaters. People with extreme nearsitedness will have the vitrous (lining of the eye) pull away from the sides of the eye which show up as those bright flashes in the corner of the eye. This usually doesn't happen until they are in their 40's. It would be worth seeing an opthalmologist to have this diagnosed. If you lose vision in the upper part of the eye, like a shade is being pulled down, this could be a detatched retina. If this happens, you go sit still and have someone take you to an emergency room.

Awesome insight you have provided. Yes I get the floaters. And the flashing white lights too. But the lights are not on a regular basis. But annoying never the less.
Thanks again.

I've had floaters since my youth...sometimes there, sometimes gone! Luckily my eyesight is not bad at all even with diabetes....doc did say he saw the very beginning of a cataract but nothing to worry about now.

Yes, I have floaters sometimes. I noticed 'nearsightedness', which I have, was one of the causes. That's one good thing about wearing glasses, regular eye exams, in case problems develop.

I used to, but then I got glasses and I found out those floaters and spots are actually coworkers!
