I really like this girl alot we are both bi. It started out her just talking to me she had a gf then so later down the line her gf broke it off with her. We even talked afterward. So months later she asked me out I expected I have never had a gf or been with a girl. I tell her everything. But when i do she gets mad when she thinks someone is trying to make a move on me, weather it's a guy or a girl! I tell her that it's not going to happen but she comes up with these reason to say it's not me she doesn't trust it them. Well we end up fighting most of the night away about stuff like that, but she makes me think things about her too cause she thinks that way about me. Then when I make a remark like I'm not going to tell you stuff she gets upset and blames me which makes me feel bad. I don't want to lie to her but I'm not sure how to keep things good without lying. Can I please have some advice thanks!

I mean, why don’t we just save all that tax money and teach those unfortunate children born to Christian parents the basics of pumping gas or flipping burgers? That’s all they’re likely to do anyway. They can reject science now in favor of their bible and still lead relatively productive lives, but the future always brings with it something with which faith can’t compete – change. Let’s face it, at this rate, western societies will soon split into two broad groups; those who stubbornly insist that the bible is an indisputable source of knowledge and those who either reject the bible completely or at least use it only as a source of spiritual comfort….Don’t you think?

We were assigned cause and effect chart.

The middle is the event which is "Odysseus is gone". Then there is 3 causes on the catagory of "Why is he gone?" And three effects on "What effect does his presence have?"

For the effects i got, 1.The suitors have taken over the palace. blah blah
2. Telemachus and mother are depressed, have no faith in Odysseus coming home blah blah

3. Gods (Athena and Zeus) come to help telemachus and encourage him to look for his dad.

What would i put in the cause, all i can think of is Odysseus went away to troy.

Woould this be right? What else would i put?

I think that one of the most important virtues is that ability to empathize. I think that people generally learn to get along much better if they are instructed of the importance of putting yourself in someone elses shoes.
I may be wrong, but i don't know if the bible says much about empathy. Obviously the golden rule (treat others as you would have done to you) has some relation to empathy.
But where else does the bible speak of it?

i was raised catholic but have read much over the years on buddhism. met the top priest from the nicheron sect in japan in an interview. attended sessions in homes, dated two buddhists, one from japan, one from korea, one a radical from dallas, tex. i can be catholic and study buddhism. there is no conflict from all i know. it offers a wonderful way to live and deal with life's challenges. more than anything else i know of, including psycological analysis etc. but i don't work that hard at it. none around my present neck of the woods. are you conversant on the subject?

Seems Christians have embraced the notion that they are sinners & can never be perfect as Christ instructed them--so they rely on "grace" to avoid obeying Christ by treating everyone else as they would like to be treated.

Describe your surroundings. What do you see? What is the weather like? Are you with other people or alone?
Where are you going?
Add other details if you can.

Joseph Smith in the pearl of great price wrote "18 My object in going to inquire of the Lord was to know which of all the sects was right, that I might know which to join. No sooner, therefore, did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, than I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that all were wrong)—and which I should join.
19 I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: “they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.” "

If all the denominations were corrupt why did he join the methodist church in 1828?
