Heaven has a gulf that can't be crossed. Read Luke 16:19-31. And it ain't St Peter at the gate/gulf but GOD.

Luk 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

Of course heaven doesn't need a gate. But do you have the relevant passport to get in - stamped 'Christ died for me.'

I think we've done this before. It's to keep the believers in so they can't go exploring. And the property developers out.
