Thats strange. Your questions about God didnt say that. Is this not really a question then? (be careful about your answer)
At the risk of my "best answer" percentage and just in case you might actually award the answer to an answer (like mines or ZCs) instead of a joke.....
Its mostly self help courses. Pretty good ones. I took 2 of the cheaper ones (communications and study-habits) and I still use the stuff all the time. Well worth the price.
There is also a Church of Scientology. I went to a couple of their services. Very non-denominational (generic good wishes, not much religion stuff). I dont think they even passed a plate. Definetly no subtle hints about 10% of your earnings like I get in other churches.

Its a religion for atheists and hackers.
The secret information known only to the highest members of the church has been revealed to us by very reliable sources (the clambake picnic site, youtube, south park, and even Xenu's own site Xenu.net).
It is a church where their god has been locked up. And now we have to exorcise all of the alien spirits (thetans) which infect us and hold us back. It's all an effort to help each other shake the shackles of needing any god to manage our lives. The end goal is to become OT (Operating Thetan) in full control of your own universe without any reliance on any god.

It only interest me the Fantastic efforts of ZC, he is a thorough real in intrinsic meaning a TOP CONTRIBUTOR...I salute the man. Amazing efforts, in deed. He is exceptional...Yahoo needs him much longer time in Answers.
I thought scientology is just a coinage of words science + OTOLOGY, I suppose to answer it, as part of surgical science dealing with organ of hearing and its diseases. Tnx.
May be, there what ZC is saying about Ron Hubbard? gets to popularize his cult religion techniques and orientation...and out of realm pushing efforts to give life to his intend and purposes why he is living. For all psychotic tendencies starts of hearing in him inner auditory nerves unusual voices that leads him to different dimensions of perceptive out of the realm of strictly speaking consciousness to a wide and wild creations of unexplained images that haunt the man to lead his acts and his quite unexplained consciousness to usual defensive human mechanism...to survive and maybe prove right to real, and he has no way to distinguish moral, right, wrong or else in the normal and real world commonly human lives....
...understandably for normal to give considerations but when other problematic people of so concerned to us is victimized or being helplessly victimized,,,,we shall be alerted or warned or its...adverse repercussions to normal prevailing society....action must be done to stop or oppose persistently and legally...

STAY AWAY. it's noted for brainwashing, mind control using blackmail and taking complete control of your life. it's as bad as the catholic churche's opus dei. stay independent and remember the line from tom sayer by rush " and his mind is not for rent to any god or government" all you need to do is be as good as you can and do as many good deeds as anonymously as possible. religious organizations can't STAND hearing this because it means if people did this they wouldn't make money and have to get real jobs.
PS if you research you will find it was started by a con man and crappy sci fi writer.

its a dumb religion that belives there was a alien that sent all the other aliens to earth and he thought they would return so he built "soul caughters" in the sky and then they got dumped in a volcano....then when man kind came along then they went in to their bodies which they think is what causes our emotions. lol....dumb!
