"Suicide is a sin beyond forgiveness. Cursing one's fleshy body reaps irrevocable disaster on the soul. All who commit the sin of suicide shall forever be bound as prisoners in the Wood of Suicides. God's judgment is irrevocably divine in its righteousness."

btw, i don't agree with this statement. yes, i'm an atheist. if i was relgious, i still would disagree. but, someone replied to one of my questions with this answer. so, i thought i would get everyone's opinion.

just getting everyone's thoughts.

Should it rotate C W or C C W? Is it masculine since it is not displayed at women`s hair Salons? Is it losing it`s long term relationship with men`s barber shops. I seldom see one any more. Fifty years ago you would not see a Barber Shop Without a Barber pole. Also is the Barber pole International or only used in the USA?

Are your opinions based on instinct and beliefs as handed down by family or peers or did you actually study something? Generally people on this website come across as strongly opinionated. I would love to know where these opinions come from. Have you read the ENTIRE Bible/Koran/Torah? Have you conducted extensive study in the field of evolution?
Thank you.

Vent about three things you actually HATE...please no more than three things but you can expound on each one.

I HATE the sound of food being eaten......slurp munch slush grind suck chew...YUCK! Especially when theaters make sure you hear it to make the point of someone eating......drives me crazy

I HATE it when people don't use proper movie ettiquet. Babies that don't belong in the movies in the 1st place, cell phones ringing, talking to loud, kicking the back of my seat. I am sure there is more but it all goes here.

I HATE it when people use cells phones at the worst times...during an important conversation, dinner out, theater, driving the car, church, any kind of ceramonies, ....and more

Would you make a debate that won the Bears superbowl 41? Or that the Tigers won the world series in 2006? Or that Japan and Germany won WWII? Since evolution deniers (creationists) take a side that is factually incorrect that has nothing to do with facts, science, imperical evidence......do you creationists also feel that we should take up other arguements that are factually incorrect like those I listed?

I was wondering what people thought about praise and worship at Catholic Mass. Is it ok to be ecumenical during the mass? If not would there be anything wrong with having some more energetic prayer after Mass has concluded that would be optional?

Is homosexuality called sin in Romans 1st ch? Is sodomy the same as homosexuality in the bible? Did the homosexuals try to molest the angels that were visiting Lot in Sodom and Gomorrow in the bible? Did God call homoseuxality an abomination, and would give people over to a reprobate mind of they did not repent? Does Hebrews 10 26 says that if we practice sin willingly after knowing truth, there is no more sacrafice for that sin? Is sin something God opposes? Did Jesus say he will tell some people to depart from him because they were wicked and he does not know them?

I picture it to be pretty fun. Jesus is already my best friend, but being to actually hang out will be cool. And I imagine there will be mass none stop- which will be awesome. I also have a plan with God, we're going to beat someone with pillows :-p
How do you picture it?

I'm an atheist who recently moved from Europe to the USA bible belt, so I figured reading the Bible could be useful, to at least understand what the people in front of K-Mart are talking about when they ask me if I'm already saved.

So, I started reading.

My problem is, I've never met anybody that managed to be completely honest about themselves. Reality is as we perceive it, so even when a person is completely honest about himself, it doesn't have to mean he's completely telling the truth about his achievements, actions or whatever. It's just his perception of reality.

How can I be sure that God is capable of being 100% honest about Himself? The Bible seems to be God's word, but can God be so impartial and unjudgmental about himself that He can actually tell me the complete truth about Himself? Is that even possible?

The clips I've seen on TV and the pictures on AOL news are just devastating. My heart goes out to those people who've lost all their possessions. Thank goodness they escaped with their lives.

Studies show that about 2/3 of male homosexuals have had sexual intercourse with a woman, but prefer to perform sex on other men. Are these men genetically bisexual? If so, are only a minority of homosexuals genetically homosexual?

While we're on the topic, which other kinds of kinky sex are genetically predetermined--incest, sado-masochism, bestiality, fetishism, voyeurism, exhibitionism, transvestism? Is there any freedom to choose one's own brand of turn-on?

I'm wanting the full-blown rigorous definition: 'Prophets in the Biblical sense', not 'someone who has functioned prophetically' or 'my friend's friend told me something and it came true!!!' and not 'False Prophets' etc. etc.
Do you think there are Biblical level/quality prophets in the world today? Why or Why Not?
Thanks!
