If God cares about the very hairs on your head, I am sure that he cares what you put inside your body.
I think He more cares about your soul, and your spirit.

edit: God loved Abel's true sacrifice, and didn't now want Cain's lukewarm sacrifice, that is what was unpleasing to the Lord.

The bible says that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit.
So, yes he does care, he cares if we cut years off our lifespan through careless living, such as consuming drugs, alcohol, too much fat, too much salt, too many sweets, etc... Life is a gift that we should cherish.

Better ask if your fellow believers care. I assert that they care more about the sin and their relative "righteousness" than your well-being.
