to go back in time and remove one religious figure or prophet or avatar from existence (you don't have to kill anyone, just prevent them from being born), who would it be and why?

Personally I'd be tempted to take out one of the big religions by taking out Jesus or Mohammad, but then I realize the vacuum would be quickly be filled by another religion and thus wouldn't be productive in the long run. So I would actually have to go with Sun Yung Moon and the Moonies because of their manipulation of the US political process and ownership of the Washington Post. Who would everyone else choose?

Do they consider each other heretical? Are they civil to each other? I've seen pictures of Orthodox patriarchs with various Popes, so it seems they are on working terms with each other. Lastly, is going to each other's churches against each denomination's beliefs?

fake ploy to sell timeshares?
They tell you to come in the mall to pick up your prize. when there really is no prize at all.
They just want you to look at their 15 min sales pitch, give you refreshments and pitch a timeshare sale to you.
When a guy called me to tell me I won, and i asked it was for timeshares...he pretended it wasnt...then i was asking too much details..and he hung up on me. I hate that sh*T.

1 Corinthians 6:9, 10 "What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither FORNICATORS, nor IDOLATERS, nor ADULTERERS, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, NOR MEN WHO LIE WITH MEN, nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor DRUNKARDS, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom."

No Drinking, No mixing, No Homosexuality.

These are the fruits that you will know them by ...................

So many people say that "violence" is the fruits to know who will not inherit Gods Kingdom.............. I didnt see anything to support that view from this verse.

Those who never get drunk, have the least fornication problem, no tolerance for homosexuality and are well known to have zero idolatry in their concept of God.

Catholics see Pope in flames
Tuesday, 16 October 2007
Catholics claim this image, which looks spookily like a figure with it’s hand raised is of the late Pope John Paul II appearing in a bonfire.

The apparent outline of the deceased pontiff raising his hand in a blessing was captured at a ceremony near the Pole’s birthplace to mark the second anniversary of his death.

Polish cameraman Gregorz Lukasik who the took the picture in April said: “It was only when I got home and looked at the pictures I realised I had something.

Like telling someone, at an accident scene (where just yesterday I was actively involved at one) everything is going to be Ok, when you know it's not, or telling a child that their mommy and Daddy were just having a yelling contest and mommy is crying because she lost (eg), or to act ignorant because you know less people will get hurt or upset if you do, so it would seem the best thing all round.......?

I believe in white lies, if it's only at the expence of yourself

Not to tell your friend her haircut is a shocker, but to use dicretion and God-given discernment.

Likewise, how can you be for it without knowledge of its basics?

I see so many questions and answers in here that come from both sides demonstrating a lack of basic understanding. Please people, don't just take a side based on what you think is desireable to your herd, study the question and make up your own minds. Stop regurgitating nonsense that you've heard from others and not examined yourself.

Anyway, back to the question. How can you be for or against something you know almost nothing about?

The word begotten has been removed from all Gospels by the same bible scholars as fabrication after they realized that this word does not exist in the most ancient manuscript.

•John A-V {3:16} For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (This word does not exist anymore in all Gospels in the RSV), so Jesus is not any more begotten by God where we find others still alleged to be begotten sons of God according to the bible. examples:

- David was a begotten son of God long before Jesus (according to the bible). Psalms A-V {2:7} I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou [art] my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

- Israel was a begotten son of God long before Jesus (according to the bible). Exodus A-V {4:22} And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel [is] my son, [even] my firstborn:

i met a lady the other day and she (a proclaimed Christian) said that tithing is dead, that tithing is an old testament ideal, and we the Christians of today do not have to honor that belief. I do NOT agree with her, and proudly tithe in my church.

What do you think?

please document with scripture to support either way
