God's grace and unconditional love is what appeals to me, and being close with him.
we have everything to thank God for.
He is so amazing!

but about the sinless bit, its not about being 'sinless',thats impossible, since adam and eve sinned.
i belive its about righteousness in Christ Jesus. We are all called to it,that is the bottom line. like the story of the vine and the branches. no one wants to be cut off and thrown into the fire. we want to stay connected to the vine, and live in righteousness. and therefore be close to God, our heavenly father.

No one is sinless except Jesus. But we try to live a Christ-like life, as close to Him as possible.

It's not something that appeals to me, it's just something I am.

Some Christians have redefined sin to claim that we're all sinners, but my gods would NEVER set the bar so low that the act of LIVING is a sin against them. Those kinds of Christians have a definition of sin that falls FAR outside their own bible, so there is no reasoning with them.

I am sin free, and Christians claiming otherwise don't change that anymore than a 3 year old claiming "I'm not goin to bed ever!" is changing the fact that s/he will, indeed, go to bed at some point.

I do feel really sorry for them though...SHAME?!?! GUILT?!?!? For *living*?!?!? What kinda religion is that!

I will never be sinless but I will try my best to live right as I know I should because I want to go to Heaven.

It is not at all about being sinless. It is more so about understanding who God is as my God, King, Friend and Father and wanting a relationship with Him. I want to be found willing to put my God first and honor him with my thougths and actions.

Being sinless would prevent the shame and humiliation I will face when my maker questions me about my actions, because I'm pretty sure rationalization isn't going to help.

Nothing. The concept of sin is disobedience to God's rules. Since I don't believe in God, it has no relevance for me.

There are moral values and ethical standards and so on, and they must be worked out as we go along. To every "rule of thumb" there is a valid exception. You need to do the best you can to be fair, compassionate, honest, courageous, and rational. You need to think about your moral decisions and not just take them as rigid rules to obey or simple calculations to perform. But none of that has anything to do with the concept of "sin" as such.

Nothing dear.
And don't forget that it is impossible, that's the idea: Declare as sin things that everyone does all the time and surf on the guilt trip to maintain control over the uneducated masses...
