I guess God create Satan with feelings.
Guess it's quite similar to parent creating baby with feelings, too. Can we ask why most parents didn't do maintainence after creating an "angel" baby, no right ? Most baby really grown up to be more evil than good. Especially, their eating desire that links to killing of animals.
However, there's minority who become saints & sages. They can choose to be evil but they didn't. Eventually, they make it all the way back to God's paradise.
Lastly, we really hope everyone who DID evil things, please do some soul searching & be responsible for planting evil in their own initial pure hearts. Don't blame on anyone, we got a choice to be good or evil. Treasure this life by doing many good deeds & if possible find out more about receiving precious "Tao".

I'll go with Satan evolved from an "enlighten through trial" angel to the great deceiver, just like the concepts of god and hell have evolved.
But it does seem weird that God would have created angels without free will that would rebel and then go on to create humans with the same design flaw. Another weird thing is why choice seems to need "evil" as we obviously exercise free will and choice over many decisions that have nothing to do with good and evil.

Probably. But we forget that God doesn't live in our time. It is equally likely that Satan might not have done what He did. We also must realize that God could see the end result and whatever the trials, the end result is worth it. Again, we are seeing the divine through human eyes, and we are limited in what we can see and think.

Another great question that shows another logical flaw of god and religion. After all everyone who believes in god agree that he is all-knowing and if he is all-knowing that he would have known before creating Lucifer he would have turned against him.

I know people will disagree with me on this one, but
YES. If We are to believe what Christians teach us, God MUST have known that Satan would turn evil.
After all, God created HIm/Her/It Didnt They/It?
God is supposed to be all knowing and all powerful, if He/ She/ It did not know, then they/it woud NOT be ALL POWERFUL.
That Plus without Satan, there would probably be less evil, and that would Drive God Crazy
Satan Keeps God on His/Her/Its Toes

All beings created by God have free will. I'm sure God knew that there was the possibility for rebellion. Do parents ever want to admit and realize that their children will do wrong before it occurs?

The bible says that God created evil. But to most that sounds really weird. Let me explain it like this. Christians believe that life started in the garden of Eden. But when God finished He commanded Adam not to eat of a certain tree. Now why create something and then say you can eat of every tree but not this one. God did that for one reason......choice. God didn't create humanity to be robots but with their own free will choose to live for Him. Why did God create Satan.........??? The answer is simple......CHOICE.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

No, this would have implied that God made him to turn evil and that evil is within God himself.
Those that teach this have gone astray from the truth. There is no evil within God. The fact that he gave angels and humans free will so that these may choose to become disobedient, even evil, only means that God knows that good and evil are probable choices of living beings.
The fact that someone chooses to do evil is not God's responsibility. His responsibility is to judge and punish the disobedient and the wicked. And, this he has promised to do in regard even to evil words, Jesus said that even such would be judged.
Thus as God told the Israelites through Moses, the choice of life and death is each person's own choice. Those that those righteousness, and good works choose life, the others choose death.

God did know. He still allows choice. To not create something just to avoid conflict is not in the character of God.
