The Ouija board is said to be a sin, according to God:

The truth of the matter is that God views channeling, or consulting spirits or the dead, to be a serious sin. Deuteronomy 18:11-12 says that anyone engaged in these practices is "detestable to God." According Old Testament Law, the Israelites were supposed to stone (execute) anyone who was a medium or a channeler (Leviticus 20:27).

Why does God take such a hard line on things like Ouija Boards - something that many people view as a game? In Isaiah 8:19-20, God says this: "When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? …If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light…" God points out that we need to come to Him for answers.

But how DO we contact Him for answers?

Why has God made it so souls cannot be detected using scientific instruments?

Those who search and find God were looking for someone else to solve their problems. Those who search and find scientific answers were looking for a way humans can solve their own problems.

If you are asked to tithe to your church, have any of you ever asked for an accounting of where the money goes or do you just give it blindly?

Or does your church offer you an monthly or quarterly update on church funds?

Shouldnt you know where your money goes?

I have noticed lately that every time I get gas, the pumps are SO SLOW...annoyingly slow...at first I thought it was the one station where I was going, but then I 'd go to other stations, and theirs are slow too.

So, I figured the only assumption I could make is a conspiracy by the oil companies! They have rigged the pumps to pump slow so that it doesn't seem like we're pouring our money out so fast...you know? Instead of taking two minutes to put $20 in the tank, they slow the pumps down, and it takes five - i.e. it 'seems' like we're getting more gas.

Are your pumps slow? Would the oil companies think we're that stupid? Are we?

Many of you (Christians who approve of Evolution) picture (though not consider) your god as a "person" (Anthropomorphism of God) who "thinks", "feels" and "reacts to external phenomena", all evolutionary traits.

Has your God, ergo, developed these traits (much as we have, after millions of evolutionary years), or did he already have them, and, by chance, we developed just the same traits?

I don't go around asking Christians about The Lord's Resistance Army a Christian terrorist group in Africa. I don't ask the to justify the neo nazis ar the World Church of the Creator. I don't ask them because it isn't fair for any Christian to bear the burden of explaining the fooloshness of everyone who claims to share their faith. The fact is that when muslims condemn terrorism it is ignored in the press. But I don't care about that really. Muslims have been fighting our own battle with extremism for centuries. Muslims are killed by extremists every day. We fight against extremism for the sake of God and for ourselves NOT FOR YOU. FIGHT YOUR OWN BATTLES.WHEN THE TERRORISTS KILL INNOCENT MUSLIMS I DON'T HEAR YOU GUYS HOWLING ABOUT WHY DON'T WE CONDEMN THEM AND I DON'T HEAR YOUR OUTRAGE WHEN SOME POOR MUSLIM KID IS KILLED BY AHEEISTS LIKE THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT BUT YOU EXPECTUS TO SPEND ALL OUR TIME CONDEMNING TERRORISTS IN YOUR NAME .

I am hosting a bridal shower at my house at the begining of December (still have a while) but I live on a cul-de-sac where the curb in front of my house is pretty narrow. I know we will have quite a few cars and my driveway is not very long, so I know that it is probable that people will park infront of other houses.

I wanted to mention to my neighbors (atleast next door) that I would be hosting this bridal shower and ask if it is ok for people to park infront of there house. And mention that is it a short party (2 hours or so). Of corse if they say "no," I will make sure no one parks there and if they do, tell them to feel free to come over and tell me and I would take care of it.

Do you think that is a good idea? Or a waste of time. I know I would appreciate it. Should I bake something small (cookies) and bring over also to be polite? Thanks!

What do you think of Melungeon people? What about American Melungeon people? (ie exotic, cool, interesting heritage, ect). If you want, post your age, ethnicity, age and country. This is a project for school so don't say something like why can't we all just be called Americans or turn it into a racial thing.

Mary is Jesus' mother, so that would make God his father, so God is a man, or at least male. The old testament says before the flood sons of god were having sex with women, and their off spring were giants.
