What is the longest period of time you have gone without praying while still considering yourself a Christian?

Catholics are required to make the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) once a year and take the Eucharist during Lent (Easter Season) otherwise they're classified as non-practicing Catholics.

I went at least a decade without doing this ... but have found my hope, faith, and love in Christ once again.

Several days. Life gets so hectic sometimes that you forget to do the thing that brings you the most peace of mind. I usually pray in my car by myself because I like to pray aloud but I don't want other people to hear me pray. Not because I'm ashamed but rather that's tantamount to doing a good deed and then sending an email to all your friends and family about what a good person you are. Prayer is personal.

I try to take time at least once a day to sit down and talk with God about all the things that are on my mind. But really, I pray constantly. Its just habitual for me. I'm sitting on my bed looking out the window, and the weather is so beautiful, and earlier I found myself thanking God for such a nice day without even thinking about it. If I'm going through a hard time, my first thought is "God, please help me through this." If my kids are running around the house, I automatically pray, "God, please don't let them get hurt." Once you get in the habit of praying, you just start praying all the time!

And althought prayer is important in the life of a Christian, backsliding and forgetting to take the time to talk with God doesn't mean you aren't a Christian anymore. Its like if you live in another city or state than your parents -- there are times when you might not call them like you should, but that doesn't mean you aren't part of their family.

Once a Christian-always a Christian.

35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."[a] 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

As far as praying, far too long. :(

But how can I stop praying when God is always with me? You don't have to say words to be praying, after all.
