I WANT MY RAMJET BACK!!

How come in Genesis chapter 6 it says that GOD said that man's days will be 120 years, but there were people after that who lived longer. Isn't this an error? I know it's a small thing, but if this is an error isn't there a possiblity that there are other errors in the Bible. Maybe this shouldn't bother me but it does. I am a Christian, and I have been trying to read the Bible more. However, i am not sure if I should because I have doubts about whether it is completely accurate.

As a non-Christian, I find the charge against Catholics inconceivable. In the 4th Century, two churches existed: the Roman Catholic and the Eastern Orthodox Church. The Roman Catholic Church would not allow the common people to read the Bible until the Reformation when Protestants demanded to have a Bible in the common language. If Catholicism is not Christianity, then where do Protestants get their authority for Christianity? Fifteen hundred years is a mighty long gap for a religion.

At the number of girls and boys on here who say they are sexually active at ages like 13 and 14 and so forth? I am so sad and sick about the future of our society and country.... What can be done to stop these walking talking moronic hormones with over-active crothes from doing this to themselves? Is there any hope?

I just just finished reading a question where some people replied that atheists don't exist. Are we considered non existant because we refuse to believe in a higher power? Are we shunned now?

That seems to go against Christ's teachings as I understand them. Any comments?

encounter in daily life, do the majority of them get very angry and tell you to keep your religion to yourself? Do nearly all of those that you know (church pals not included), despise Christianity and the mention of the name. These people are NOT interested. Do you still try to witness to hostile, unreceptive beings. I live and work in the real world, not a strictly Christian environment. You really have to admire the JW's for their relentless crusade, considering how much abuse they endure.

I know they provide employment for workers and they get everything they sell for free as donations. But how are they different from, say Walmart? Walmart provides employment as well. What does Goodwill give back to the community?

Matthew 23:9 - And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.

Can you show me one passage or verse in the Bible (the real Bible, not the ~*special*~ Catholic Bible) that teaches that the priest is a "Father"? Or that he has the ability to forgive sins? Or that the Pope is infallible? Any of these things? How about praying to Mary? And the use of the rosary? Just verses please, no commentary. Let the scriptures speak for themselves if you can. Thanks. :)

Is there any part of the bible said to be written by jesus? it seems strange that the man supposedly central to it all would play no part in documenting the time.

I read today about the Cleveland high school shootings and within that article they noted that despite what people may think, school shootings/killing are rare [mathematically].

OK, I realize today's media coverage allows us to know much more quickly what is happening everywhere - however, do you remember ANY school shootings/killing When YOU were growing up and in high school? Did you EVER hear of kids bringing guns to school? Was I just sheltered?

Would really like to hear your take on this. It breaks my heart that children today don't seem to have coping skills with life's challenges.

Do you do all 3?
He read in the bible saying, "If you do bad stuff like curse, disrespect anyone, you're going to hell." So be honest.
