Hola Lobo.
I think it is a sign of arrogance when you are passing on knowledge from your own experience to a person who only read about it pretends to know more.
I put this to you can a person become an expert through book learning. The answer is yes of course but when picking up a saw that doesn't mean he can make a straight cut.
I think this is very similar to what you are asking.
