I know that being gay goes against many religions, but I just don't understand why people choose to hate gay people over others who do things that go against their religion. It makes me so sad. I hate to generalize, but most the gay people I have ever known have been some of the best people in my life to have. Maybe because they have to overcome the hatred that people throw their way, or maybe because I surround myself with positive people, but why hate gays just because it's against ones religion? Why not hate liars just as much, or adulterers, or people who don't love their god or their neighbors? Why single out that one thing so much? One of my friends just told me last night that he was gay and it makes me sad to think of the hard road he has ahead of him with all the hateful, prejudice people out there.
