When can a backslider miss their chance to return into fellowship with God? Is it ever too late to come back? What is a reprobate?

you have communion with the LORD, that can not be broken. We are sealed with the Holy Spirit, a guarantee of our inheritance to come. We can not be disowned. The covenant with the Christian is onesided, that is Jesus guarantees salvation, not our works, nothing we are, have or do is good enough.....ever, final word
fellowship is that active communications between the believer and the Holy Spirit and Christ. When that is broken, you have a time to repent. Or else you are warehoused or you are killed off by God.

when is it too late, that no human can answer, it is decided by God and I'm guessing your physical death is a clue that you are sort of on the carpet.
reprobate means a moral and total depravity of character and is generally used to describe the ones who will never be saved.
It seems you lost someone earlier, go back and find them, it is getting on time to eat and i'm sure they are hungry

A Back Slider has not Comitted the Unpardonable Sin.
At Any Time a Back Slider can start confessing his,her Sins, start Reading the Bible again, Praying again, attending Services (church on Sunday!) again so on.
It is up to the Person to decide when to make the u-turn back into FellowShip with GOD.
As long as you can Breath, you can Turn Around back to GOD.
The UnPardonable Sin is Hebrews 6:4,5,6
you have to Accomplish 5 Things in the Spiritual Realm befor you can Even Commit the Unpardonable sin.

God has created, is running, and will destroy the Universe. God is the Origin and Destination of the Universe. the backslider has until his dying day (or till Jesus comes back) to get right w/ God again. if the backslider completely turns away from God & denys God, He will allow that person's mind to be so corrupted that he sees evil as good, & lives his life as such.
if that person dies in his continuation of sin, he will not be saved ... will not enter heaven.

It's never too late, everyone can get into Heaven except murderers, perverts and thieves. Good people, even back-sliders, can get in eventually.
As for a reprobate that is someone who is mean AND a pervert. Someone who does evil nasty stuff cause of anger and rage.

Hello there brother Jimmy:) What an awesome question. These two verses are wonderful and they truly speak of the truths in the word of God regarding what we have been brought into as believers and some of the conditions for healthy fellowship with God and with the saints in the light. When I read this question two things came to mind. That we cannot undo our birth. We cannot say that because we are not maintaining our healthy fellowship in the light with God that the result of this is that we lose our salvation or we are no long children of God. We can never undo our spiritual birth, once we have received the Life of the Father and the Spirit witnesses wiht our spirit that we are children of God, that is IT. Even in the human life, we can adopt as many other parents that we want, we cannot undo the parents we are born of, whose genes and DNA we carry. We can alter things outwardly, but the DNA is there attesting to the fact that we are born of these two people. It is the same with us being " Born" of God. Fellowship with God needs our cooperation with God daily. This is one thing, between us and God that can be frustrated and even discontinued due to unconfessed sin. The Lord desires that we walk wiht Him in the Light.. this Light shines on us, exposing things in us that do not match the Lord. God is ever so faithful and righteous to forgive us sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, This ensures that our fellowship with Him is not cut off and as such, we have a way to go on, abiding in Him so that He can have a way to abide in us. I appreciate so much this vese in 1 John because it speaks of vertical fellowship with the Lord and also horizontal fellowship with our brothers and sisters. When we in fellowship with the Lord, it should always lead us to have fellowship in His Body wiht the saints.. And our fellowship with the saints should always drive us to want to deepen our fellowship with the Lord. Fellowship with God and in the Body is likened to the way blood flows through our body. Not one part of our body is not supplied by the Blood that flows from the heart. The same blood that is in the heart, is in the brain, and big toe. The Spirit in our spirit is this flow and oneness in fellowship in the Body oF Christ.. Praise the Lord that we can be made partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. Praise the Lord for His blood that deals wiht all the negative things and keeps us in the flow of fellowship. Praise the Lord for all the dear saints to whom we are joined and being knitted together with as we continue to fellowship in Life,and Light each day. If you accepted Christ at anytime in your life then you have been sealed by God through faith, and that is all that is needed. But if you didn't accept Him by faith in Christ alone then may I suggest you fall to your knees right now and make things right. The day will come when there is no turning back.
