I know this is one issue that everyone argues over, but I was wondering. Is there any evidence in the Bible that says this?

I am EXTEREMLY opposed to gay relationships. I think the only reason gays turn to be gay is because they cannot find someone of the other sex to be with. This is my opinion and I know I will be cut down for it, but I just wanna know what your opinions are on this matter. I agree that gays are people too, but why do they have "Gay Pride" and all that kind of things. Just because I am straight doesn't mean I am going to walk up and down the street saying"Straight Pride!"

When my fiance and one of my best friends are around, they tend to just listen and only say something when they really feel a need to. They are looked at as laid back, mellow, smart, etc. I tend to be more conversational but find that people sort of poo-poo me sometimes and have less respect. How do I go about changing this without people thinking I am trying to "keep information" from them. to go from being a talker to being more quiet.. which I prefer anyway! I am not as outgoing as people think! Hope this makes sense!! :)

I know that I'm a wealthy person who have a good education, lots of knowledge and don't really suffer. But I really feel bad about the people who are not wealthy, their country is poor, they have to strave because of not enough food, or even they are born blind.

I know, I have 2 eyes like most people that I can see my wonderful earth but I feel a pity for those who are blind, poor, etc. I know how it feels like being them.

So, why is life so unfair? Why we're all different ?

if "one size fits all" then surely our individual personalities disappear in Heaven. Sounds like assimilation ala the Borg to me.

Wow! Heaven is a scary place!

Over the years Christianity has been forced to accept many principles of science which conflicted with many statements within the bible, they have had to merge the concept of a heliocentric solar system, the earth being (MUCH) older than 6,000 years old and several others.

So why are sooo many christians unwilling to even look at the theory of evolution?

ok.. so i understand people's dooferent views on 'being saved'... how does this apply to animals? where do they go when they die? they have a soul, so obviously they go somewhere, yet i don't witness them worshipping, repenting or letting god into their heart at all. and answers like 'they're like children... they're innoncent and without free will' are just cop-outs... we as humans have socially contsructed free will. so go on people.. give it a go
p.s. i believe in god, and am actually asking this seriously!!

If the trinity is a mystery to catholics, then how come when someone like myself explains the mystery of the trinity to the them they usually say ,"No, thats not how it is." ? Why do they act like they suddenly understand the msytery of the trinity? How can they say, " No, thats not how it is" when they themselves are the ones calling it a mystery? Seems to me that if they could say. " No, thats not how it is" then they should be able to say how it is..and if they could say how it is, then if wouldnt be a mystery anymore...but to them, it still is a mystery because they call it...the msytery of the trinity.

Why is it that on Yahoo answers that the Jehovah's Witnesses refer to someone as a "born again" in a derrogatory manner?

The scripture says this:

John 3:3, "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

((IF you're not born again YOU WILL NOT SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD!!! That's what Jesus said.))

The scriptures say this:

1 Peter 1:23, "Being BORN AGAIN, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."

Don't you believe what Jesus said? Don't you believe what Paul wrote? I thought you believed in the Bible.

Also, to be termed an "apostate" don't you have to have been a former member?

I am not a former member--how do I qualify for the term apostate when I follow and read the scriptures?

Even the peaceful, harmless, kind people, who just happen to believe in a greater being?

I'm a nice person, but I am a christian. However, I still accept my friends who are atheists and non believers and am equally as kind to them. I certainly never, ever preach to anyone and tell them theyre going to hell.

So why, are some people so intent on pushing me to give up my faith? It's not going to happen! I'm not hurting anyone, and I can't help what I believe, so why are people so critical?

Humans are born gay through their dna make up (pun not intended). I go along with that, fine. But are we the only species on this planet with this trait? Do we know of homosexual jelly fish or colonies of ants that have become outcasts to the ferocious soldier ants, and set up their own gay communities. Silly question probably, but one I'm curious about.

Then why is it that only humans worship that God?

PS; Don't come selling the idea that only humans are intelligent enough. I had a dog for years who actually understood and compredended what was being said to him, understood how certain things worked and smart enough to put those to his use.

He was also very sneaky and mischievous.

All in all, he had the intelligence to measure up with half the world's human population. the only difference is that he didn't have the ability to talk and yet I never saw any signs of him worshipping anything.
