Be still and know
In deepest silence
A red wing-tip
The whiff of grass
The brush of wind
The breath of warming sun
Cold hardness of rock
The beating of my heart
Drop of honeysuckle sweetness
He reads my thoughts
And He- is God

Still, it is our policy to reduce flaring as much as possible, and we are very active in using gas for LNG or other purposes. But these projects depend on the economic viability, so if the volumes are too small there will be nobody willing to invest in the transformation because it will not be *commercial*

is not a true christian belief system. And before anyone gets their nickers in a twist, I will explain. The catholic religion is a hodge podge of many religions due to the need to convert "pagans", which inturn IS a Pagan religion in the since that they have multi deities, a mother goddess (which they had made lesser due to the times when women were considered a little more than a slave to men) a son of the two and the Father God. The 12 diciples are prayed to as messengers of God.
In the many religions that were prevalent of the times, such as Hinduism, Nordic, Celtics, and Greek and Roman gods, it follows the same pattern. Male dominant God, his wife, the favorite son of them, their devoute followers given presidence in their sky kingdom and the rituals observed for each season and need. I am not saying all Christians, I am saying that the Catholic church persecutes and denounces all Pagan religions and if so they denounce themselves. What is your take on this?

Tonight I plan to make some buttered popcorn, sit in my uncomfortably modern sofa and watch a Johnny Depp movie.

Considering the fact that I'm gay, what possible health risks should I be concerned about?

Christians, imagine the following scenario: A group of radical Muslims with links to Al Queda drive a van to an elementary school in the U.S. armed with machine guns and bombs. They reach the school and as soon as they get out of the van they are in, they are all shot in the head and killed. The FBI investigates, but no one witnessed anyone shoot at the terrorists and no government agency or individual admits to shooting the terrorists. Why is it that you would not suspect that God himself pulled the trigger?

Why do they tiptoe around, hinting at what they think but then covering that with justification and insisting they aren't really like that??
Why don't people just say what they think? Especially on here, where you are anonymous!!! If people can't be honest on here, what hope is there, and are people these days really so controlled by fear of negative judgement?

When Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one shall come to the father except through me," what does that mean to you?

I used to think it meant that Jesus is the only path one can take to get to Heaven, but recently I've started looking at it in a diferent way.

When he says "I am...", I don't think he's saying that unless you believe in me, you won't get into heaven.

I think he's saying that the way he worked, loving all and serving others, is "the way, the truth and the life". So when he says no one can come to the Father except through me, I think he's saying no one can come to know God unless they live the way he does.

Your thoughts? Serious consideration, if you don't mind.

It isn't about religion; he's not telling you that you need to be a Christian. He's commanding you to live like he did. Only then will we come to see God for what he is...all-caring, all-loving and doesn't care which religion you belong to, he cares about the relationship.

If you're beginning to learn a language and have a difficult question(and some really are, even for native speakers), why don't leave the choosing of a best answer to people who really know?
If you know the answer, why ask?

The religious belief systems seem to channel and shape
supernatural phenomena so that they reinforce those religious beliefs. Many religious miracles can be compared with poltergeist activity. At the root we have a common phenomenon shaped by an interaction with the human consciousness.
Has anyone heard of this before?
I find it very interesting.
I found this written in a book of Encyclopedia of the unexplained.
For those of you who do not know what Poltergeist means.
It means: noisey, mischiveous, ghost or spirit, held responsible for unexplained household noises and damage.
Poltergeist activity is responsible for a haunting in the house usually involving teenage children.( Due to puberty) Poltergeist activity is caused by the mind a form of telepathy if you like.
What do you think of this article?
I mean this in a respectful manner to religious people.

I want you all to know about this very terrible microscopic enemy so that you have the chance of protecting your children and grandchildren.

It is in the States right now (as well as Australia, and other warm countries) and it is killing people.

The article says that all it would take to prevent infection is wearing of nose clips in "algae bloom" water.

This CREATURE eats brain tissue! A science fiction fantasy, you say? Not according to CDC.

I am still crying for the family of the boy who died. A 14 year old child murdered by a microscopic creature for wanting to splash around for his birthday?

And there is no cure...once you are infected, you are as good as dead. Make sure YOUR family doesn't join this one in their grief. Keep your young ones safe.

No... not adjectives...
NOT a list of rough, subjective and meaningless properties you assign to whatever you believe in..

... Just in simple terms... WHAT is God?

e.g. A Dog is a carnivorous mammal with non-retracting claws and social tendencies.
... A Flower is the often visually and pheromonally attracting reproductive parts of a plant, or often a plant whose primary feature of notice is such parts.
A Cube is the three-dimensional progression of a square, consisting of eight corners and six faces of equal dimensions.

A God is _________ ?

You can't honestly expect me to believe in it if you can't even tell me what it is.
