Rev. Soleil - since I have 10 answers I guess my question makes some sense to at least some ppl. The question is simple : What is the worst thing you have ever done to feel good about youself (in other words whats the worst thing you have ever done to boost your ego)?

Drugs, I did more than just your common smoking pot. I hurt a lot of ppl that I love and that ended up hurting me in the end.

There is an axiom in life that I find to be true: "Hurting people, hurt people."

I know I was one who dealt with a great deal of emotional pain. I also know I was very vicious toward others sometimes.

If a person is feeling lowly about them self, they quite often try to cut others down. I know I did. Probably still do at times.

But I've also gained much in terms of self-forgiveness and self-respect. So I hope I am not quite as sarcastic and biting as I once was.

When I was young, I used to spend money when I felt down. I also ate sweet treats to feel better.

Which is worse I will leave you to decide. Now I'm morbidly obese and have almost no money in the bank.

I answered somebody's email in a very rude way. I was using the word 'immanent' and he was trying to correct me, saying it was imminent'. He was being a little uppity, but since he was wrong and I was right -- and I was going through a bad depression -- I corrected his correction of me very rudely. Of course it did NOT make me feel good about myself in the end. I still feel bad about that.

Trying to ridicule others that I thought were being haughty.

When I realized only later that it was I who was insecure.

Good question.

Your question makes no sense.

If I did something I knew was bad, I would feel guilt about it; therefor, it would be impossible to do such a thing in order to "feel good about myself".

You must un-ask the question.
