No... not adjectives...
NOT a list of rough, subjective and meaningless properties you assign to whatever you believe in..

... Just in simple terms... WHAT is God?

e.g. A Dog is a carnivorous mammal with non-retracting claws and social tendencies.
... A Flower is the often visually and pheromonally attracting reproductive parts of a plant, or often a plant whose primary feature of notice is such parts.
A Cube is the three-dimensional progression of a square, consisting of eight corners and six faces of equal dimensions.

A God is _________ ?

You can't honestly expect me to believe in it if you can't even tell me what it is.

[ Thumbs down for any lists of adjectives or subjective properties..... whether that is praising God's awesomeness or reciting his imaginary or non-existant qualities. Internally consistant answers or nothing... thanks. ]

Jon M :~ So does that mean "God" can be used as a verb too?

Opinionated :~ Basic reading comprehension? Check the details above this VERY carefully. You have entirely failed to explain what "God" is.... but simply a list of functions this otherwise unknown entity supposedly fulfills.

Lazarus :~ Again... basic reading comprehension. All three of those words are adjectives... and incidentally refer to concepts which while imaginable as a progression of other notions.... cannot be imagined in their own right.... and as such themselves cannot be said to exist.

I thought miss "Proud to be a Muslim" had managed the ultimate failure at explaining what God is supposed to be..... but Calmness before the Storm now takes that honour by entirely failing to even try at description.

Ours isn't omnipotent.

Ours is a badger of considerable size, though we badgers don't have a precise system of size measurement. He is very large, very old, and reportedly made of iron... He digs out the Universe by night and sleeps by day, where his curled up form radiates heat and light, and you call that the sun.

There is a definition for you.
Not like the christian deity who they can't understand but claim to know. Folly.
Silly humans.

God is a substitute for the parent, that at some point in a childs life is unable to protect (and advise) the child agaist certain things. God is more powerful and eliminates questions asked by the child, which cannot be answered by the parent.

So God is simply a substitute parent. The need for a substitute parent in an adult life can be considered mental immaturity.

I'm giving you a *. Fundamentally I consider myself ignostic although I usually label myself agnostic for those who don't know what the former is. An ignostic is, simply, a person who believes that no coherent discussion about "God" can exist until a definition is agreed upon.

Sounds a little "Star Wars" but I see God as the force of order that governs/is the universe. In that sense, I believe he/she/it exists, and I am thankful for the world and the life that was given to me.

I don't anthropomorphize him/her/it to have a personality, or to be particularly concerned with the day to day details of my life, though.

Philosophers through the ages have battled with this question, so how do you think us mere mortals will be able to answer you in a few words?

God is love. That is enough for me, and probably all I can grasp.

God is a being that is made up of three parts, God the Father, which is spirit, God the Son , who is Jesus , who came in the flesh and God the spirit, which is the Holy Spirit, otherwise known as the Holy Ghost. God is our creator, He loves us, He is perfect and he is just, He also hates sin.

God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnibenevolent-it says so right here on the label. If you have a mind capable of believing all three of these divine attributes simultaneously, I have a wonderful bargain for you. No checks, please. Cash and in small bills.

enjoy the day

god is man's creation. A creation that many use to explain what they don't understand. It also gives them hope for a better life in heaven, but only if they are good, or they will spend eternity in hell.
