Phone on his cell. Bosses get paid extra to put up with that sort of thing. As long as you call him during hours when he will be awake and not enjoying his dinner, there should be no problem.

If he is self-employed, he will probably appreciate the extra lead time.

Phone your work as early as you possibly can - even before business hours.

If your boss is one who likes control, call his cell and leave a message - again as early as you possibly can.

Just tell them that you're really sick with the "bug" that's going around. You don't have to go into a lot of details - just that you have come down with the "bug" and simply can't come in today.

Reminder - some companies require a doctor's note - especially if you're out for more than a day or two.

I somewhat have been stated as a liar from my former boss. She did additionally call me a number of different names like unorganized, sloppy, and she or he might continually threaten with firing me. She grew to become right into a 4 hundred pound woman on a scooter who might continually bust my chops. i grew to become right into a prepare dinner at a blind center. i might serve her bagels with cream cheese each morning purely like she asked me yet she in no way favored it. all of us there concept i grew to become into doing an excellent activity different than my boss. She ended up firing me after a 300 and sixty 5 days. besides to respond to your question it sucks while your boss calls you a liar because of the fact which you realize your days at your activity could quickly be coming to an end!!!

It depends on your relationship. If you think he can make alternative plans for your absence or it will change his own agenda...then by all means call him now. Also. will the phones (or whatever be covered if you don't show up....does he count on you to be there before him?? If so definitely call him now!!

Feel better and good luck with the pregnancy!
