Dude, your question, along with your argument, brings up like 3 separate issues.
First, gays having rights means that they are allowed to marry, share insurance, adopt, etc. These issues have nothing to do with you. It neither hurts nor hinders you whether gays are allowed to or not, so you shouldn't be concerned.
Second, I, as a gay man, have had girlfriends before, and have MANY offers even now from women. Believe me, if I had a choice in the matter, I wouldn't be gay. But again, this issue really has nothing to do with you, so I still don't understand why it bothers you.
Third, I agree that Gay Pride is superfluous. It's one thing to be gay, and another to feel the need to rub it in people's faces. I'm guilty of that occasionally, but on an individual basis; it doesn't make me who I am.
My opinion regarding you asking this question is this: You bring up issues that, on the surface, appear to have absolutely nothing to do with you. People don't do that. So, therefore, somehow these things DO have to do with you. Maybe you're curious yourself? Maybe you were sexually abused by a gay relative when you were younger? Maybe your ex girlfriend turned out to be a man?... This question definitely requires some introspection on your part, my man.

I'm almost the total opposite of you. I'm a straight female, but I'm for gay relationships. What does it matter if two females/two males want to be together? (AND please don't drag the bible into this) The only reason that gays have "Gay Pride" and other things is because in today's society, it's hard to come out and say " I'm gay" without receiving scrutiny for it; so gays are ashamed of it. The reason you'll never see a "Straight Pride" parade is because it's considered the norm to be straight. The same can't be said for gays/bis/ transgender/ lesbians. Your logic is absurd. I have friends who are gay and I can tell you that it's not because they couldn't find someone of the opposite sex. Being a straight male, you'll never have bible thumpers on your butt preaching moralistic values on you that are not the same as your religious beliefs. GAYS SHOULD HAVE RIGHTS! HOW DOES A PERSON'S SEXUAL ORIENTATION NEGATIVELY AFFECT THIS PLANET? That's all I have to say right now.

You know, many gay people try to deny it for many years of their lives, since it's still a social taboo. I've had friends in straight relationships who were miserable with their lives until they "came out" and started being true to themselves. That doesn't sound like they're just desperate for sex.
I truly believe that people are born with those tendencies - most parents of homosexual people will tell you that there were signs from childhood.
They march with "Gay pride" banners because they are still one of the most persecuted groups in America. You don't need a "Straight pride" banner because it's completely acceptable to be straight. You could march down the street screaming that, and people would say, "ok, sure. What's the problem?" The gay pride parades and banners are part of their movement to fight for more recognition and more rights, and for their lifestyle to be accepted. People like you are the reason they have to fight that fight.
Just because you oppose their lifestyle, why does that mean they shouldn't have rights? I oppose Republicans ;-) most of the time, does that mean I want all of their rights taken away?

The reasons for homosexuality are complex, though most agree that it is something they are born with or experience from a very young age. It generally has little to do with an inability to find a partner of the opposite sex, or being abused: being bisexual myself, I can vouch that I found both men and women attractive from an early age, before I even contemplated relationships with either, and I had a perfectly normal upbringing. To a gay person, relationships with their own sex are just as natural as heterogenerous relationships are to a straight person, and to claim superiority of one over the other isn't particularly admirable. It is simply another way of being, like being of a particular race or gender.
As to the gay pride parades, I would liken it somewhat to the women's movement - both are historically suppressed groups of society and in making such demonstrations are trying to impress upon others their equality.

Question for you.....why are you so extremely opposed to love?
People don't turn gay because they can't find love with the same sex. Its just a life choice they make, and how does it effect you anyways?
How would you like to be told it was gross and wrong just because you loved someone?
Gays should have the same rights as anyone else, and as for gay pride....basically....they are just showing they are not afraid to show the world they are gay and they are proud of it.
Just let it be man.

Why wouldn't they have rights? That's a stupid question. How would you know why gays are gay?, ur straight. And why can't they have gay pride? is that personally hurting you? Maybe it's a backlash to the all oppresion they're still getting from bigots like you. Why did M.L.K. protest, and howbout the women's rights movement? It's to stand up for themselves to ppl like yourself who think they are below you. And for the previous comment, 'if we were all gay we'd all go extinct'... guess what, if we were all straight we'd also go extinct by overpopulation. Nature keeps a balance in everything, even sexuality. You have the right to find happiness, and so do they!

Homosexuality is viewed upon by many to be a deviation from the nature of humankind, what they don't know is homosexuality is a constant part of human society and is an explainable psychological pattern.
Being gay should should not be thought of as a bad thing because it is a part of the function of humanity.
The reason Homosexuals strive to be treated with respect is because your society is being prejudicial and discriminative towards them. It is the ignorance about homosexuality that causes gay people to fight for the respect they truly deserve...

Yes gays should have as many rights as we do. Is it hurting you when they have "Gay Pride"? It doesn't bother me and I'm straight. They should have "Gay Pride" because there are still people like you telling them they shouldn't be proud of who they are and that they are wrong for being gay. They were born that way. I didn't "choose" to be straight, I just am. I think they don't "choose" to be gay, they just are.

im not going to cut you down im against gays to in a way, i mean they can do what they like as long as its behind closed doors and away from me, but the part you said about maybe they turn gay because they cant find someone of the opposite sex how many gay relationships do you know that last forever, they always end up with a opposite sex in the end, i dont believe in gay marraiges thats wrong and out of order, i dont believe in the bible but if whats in there is true then there in for a lifetime of hell, good luck to them but keep it away from straight people i think the reason there is loads of gay people is like if you never have a dad and your a girl you mainly like a older man, or a boy without a mum you might fancy older woman so a boy without a dad might go for a older man because he needs a man in his life, or maybe sometimes a guy could have been raped and they liked the feel of it i dont know im going to have sick answers but its the only ones i have for this sort of question good luck finding a right answer

I think gays should have human rights and civil rights; your question "Do you think Gays should have any rights? " is somewhat disturbing. Do you think they should be able to exist without being beaten up for walking down a street? Do you think they should have the right to expect the same safety and police protection as anyone?
