Because he doesn't fit the "world's" standard of doing things based off of what makes you feel good instead of what's right. Whoever this man is, I'm sure he understands that Jesus was persecuted and He warned us that we would be too.....He can't be surprised.

That's one of the reasons I do not use the term "virgin" to refer to males. And 28 would not have been considered all that late for a man to marry in most eras. He's having the good sense to wait until he can afford to care for a wife well. But he's not a "virgin" in the sense that a woman would be, with having an intact hymen. There's nothing physical that separates those with sexual experience and those without.

I think anyone who is reasonably attractive and has access to mates, yet doesn't have sex once, is seriously repressing some basic humans desires and curiosities. If I knew such a person, I wouldn't ridicule them, but I would be concerned and inquisitive about the matter. Some religious people do marry very young just so they can have sex, which I know from personal observations can be a rash and ultimately stupid decision. Hopefully this virgin of yours is being more selective about his mate.

Yeah they're giggling at you. have faith me, no person valuable factors appreciate for an unsightly guy because of the fact he slept around. Virginity isn't glaring. purely because of the fact somebody slept with a gaggle of people does no longer mean they're "greater appropriate." They nonetheless are who they're. 28 is slightly old to be a virgin. basically because of the fact it skill you weren't in any respect in a intense relationship. with a view to locate somebody, you need to start finding. ladies your age have become old, and you will no longer be able to have a significant relationship with somebody plenty youthful. So, your thoughts are happening. perhaps you positioned up an emotional shelter? I advise you attempt to place your self obtainable.

He sounds like an outstanding guy. People rush into things far too much these days and to have that level of self control is refreshing.
I have real respect for people with a strong sense of religion, morals, and duty.
Tell your friend he has a fan and to keep being the person he is. He's in good company.

The decision to wait to have sex until after you're married is a personal one that some choose to make. There's nothing wrong with that. No need or reason to ridicule someone who makes that decision.
Although I still think we all need a bit of practice before marriage...that's just my opinion tho.

Hooray for him! He's got standards to carry him through!
Of course the world will mock. That's okay.
He may just find himself a jewel of a girl who was also willing to wait, and he won't be sorry.
I waited, and I wasn't sorry. Sure, I was 24 not twenty eight, but believe me, the guy I got is one worth having. He waited too. I'd have waited TEN more years for him! Or for life.
Don't pity him. It's the rest that are to be pitied. Only they don't know it.

My friends say bravo to him. he's being ridiculed because society frowns down on people who have standards and morals....also, not all christians get married young for sex reasons. if they are a true christian, they wouldn't marry for that purpose.

Depends on the reasons, surely?
If he's just repulsive, that's sad.
If he's been hideously unlucky, that's sad too, but with an amusing edge.
If he's purposefully denying himself a source of pleasure out of devotion to a non-existent deity - that's so stupid it's hilarious.
