It doesn't apply to animals.
Their life goes back to the ground.
Ecclesiastes 3:21 shows this.
Animals are NOT humans, in every way they are different.

When you were young, did you ever watch the cartoon movie "All Dogs Go To Heaven"? I love that movie. So maybe all animal's go to heaven.
Anyway, I honestly don't believe in heaven and hell. I believe that when the body dies, the soul is reborn into another being. So, when animals die, they are reincarnated. The body is just a means of protection for the soul and a way to interact with life. When it dies, the soul is set free to find another means of protection. Why do you think some animals are so compassionate?? Maybe they were humans in a past life and they understand what you're going through.
I know since you're religious that my answer is probably a load of bull to you, but it's what I honestly believe. You may not believe it, but I'm glad if you at least read it. Have a great day!
PS Your animals will be safe in whatever afterlife they join!

The story of Noah's Ark is a prophetic picture of the salvation of Jesus Christ for all creation. All the animals, birds and creatures that crept on the earth were saved in the Ark, besides Noah' family - Genesis 7:4. The fishes in the water were not in the Ark as they would not drown. When the deliverance came God remembered Noah and every living thing, and all the animals in the Ark - Genesis 8:1. So when Adam sinned death came to all creation and when Jesus saves all creation will be saved and restored:
Luke 3:6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God
1 Cor 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.
Acts 3:21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.
Rom 8:19-21 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly awaits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subject to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subject it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

animals do not have a soul, they are a soul just like humans have no separate being or soul but are a soul............you are either a living soul or a dead soul.
Animals were not give the opportunity to live forever so sad to say they die and return to the dust where they came from. Humans on the other have had this hope to live forever ever since they were created, but lost it when our first parents sinned against God. God has opened up the way for all of us to get back what was lost and it's only trough the sacrifice of his son Jesus.

Animals do not have individual souls, but have a species spirit. So a grizzly bear just considers herself "bear" without any awareness of being an individual. Therefore, the only time their spirit dies is when the species goes extinct.
Yet another reason to protect endangered species. When a species goes extinct, one more spirit leaves the world. The world is therefore poorer.
However, it is possible that dogs and horses develop individual souls in their relations to their human masters. If that is the case, then presumably when you go to heaven you will find they are with you.
I must confess, however, that I consider this all metaphor for a truth too esoteric to describe in English.

god gave humans the ability of free will, not animals. i am not sure where animals go when they pass, but i would like to believe that they can go to heaven. we have animals as pet and they do seem to help us get better when we are sick or depressed. they have a healing ability that some medications can not cure. they make us feel better. it would be pointless to have animals on earth and then they just die and nothing happens to them. I believe that they also have a soul, but this is just what i believe.

I believe that animals have a spirit and not a soul. We may not see animals worship but I believe that they do worship. In fact, I believe that animals communicate with God on a regular basis. I believe that animlas obey God at all times. I believe that animals were not given freedom of choice like humans and angels.

The consensus is that animals do not "go to heaven". I personally believe that there are animals in heaven. For sure there are horses, because the bible speaks of horses in Revelations.
All desires are met in heaven and God knows his children love animals so they will be there to love and enjoy..as well as beautiful gardens, flowers, forests, and oceans..what a wonderful reward God has prepared for those who love him and his son Jesus Christ the righteous!!

People have asked this same question re Satan and demons. Can they be saved? My answer is that God made plans for the redemption of mankind but has not revealed any plans to save Satan (the Bible says he will be thrown into the lake of fire), demons, animals or plants. The Bible says mankind is God's crowning glory and that His habitation is with man. So I don't believe they will be saved in that sense.
Also, I believe salvation primarily refers to being saved from a life of sin which animals and plants don't sin unless you count the time that German Shepard bit me where the sun don't shine( I heard enuf jokes about that one).
Where do they go when they die? The Bible does not say so I will refrain from speculating.

LOL! Dooferant views, is that like dooferant questions?
Anyhow, animals have have a rudimentary form of INTELLIGENCE, that does not mean they have souls. A person with a soul is one who is capable of comprehending God, which animals cannot, therefore you never see them praying etc. Animals can be like computers where they can be programmed by training to respond with a rudimentary form of intelligence, but they are not able to really even be aware of their existence, they are only aware of their physical needs such as I need to eat, I need to poop, I need to be a part of the pack therefore I go to my master to be petted.
Animals can be influenced by God however. Balaam was rebuked by a dumb @$$. During the millenium the lion shall lie down with the lamb, the child will be able to play with the asp.
I know innocents such as infants or the ignorant will all be saved. Perhaps animals will be under the same category as innocents. The scriptures really do not say. I know of a few life after death testimonies that mention animals in paradise... I guess we will see.

Well, first off, I don't believe animals have a soul. A spirit, yes, a soul, no. So they have nothing to be saved. As for where they go? I have absolutely no idea. It may be that God loves animals as much as He loves us and wants them with Him in heaven too. I honestly don't know.
I could be wrong about the first part too, but again, I have no way of knowing. As far as I know, there is no way to ask an animal what they believe.
