I just read the Yahoo news article about the 51 year old woman who gave birth to twins for her daughter. Could you/would you have done the same thing if asked?

In my younger days yes.I loved being pregnant. If I could bring happiness to someone who couldn't have a baby I would do so.

Not that kind, no. But I am indeed a surrogate mother in the sense that Lexi, my upstairs neighbor at the time, started calling me "Mama Barbara" when I needed someone after My Steve committed suicide. She needed someone too, as her own mother was very rejecting of her. Now I'm a proud surrogate grandmother: her son Talyn was born September 16, 2007!!!

Yes, I could well have been a surrogate mom for somebody else's children. I had the spiritual dedication for it, but not the body that would have allowed me that privilege.

The Mom/Daughter thing is iffy though. In my case, that wouldn't have worked out well.

I read that article too and was so heart-warmed by her willingness to help her daughter!...particularly given she is 51!

Could I have done the same?....perhaps, not sure but most likely yes..;-)

I do not think so. Having 3 sons and 3 step daughters with complete families it will not happen to me

If the doctors said I could do it with out risking the health of the baby, I would do it in a heart beat! I would even do it for one of my Aunts, Cousins or friends!

Physically I could not do it. I had uterine cancer at 24 so I was "spayed", if it was my daughter and I was able, I would have done it
