Did God make laws and promises to us which is why Jesus had to die? What are the laws and promises? Why couldn't he just destroy hell and satan? or is there such place as hell? Did he make a promise to his angels or fallen angels that they will have eternal life? Why did he have to die for us? Why didn't God just give us eternal life and forgive our sins?

I was watching an HBO documentary this morning on Christianity in America and their beliefs. In the rural southern areas there were pastors who told people when voting for the president you should vote for the person with a strong Christian belief similar to their own. They even put up charts who these people were in all of the churches. Can you honestly tell me that this is what matters most? You would rather vote for a president who has the same beliefs as you, rather than a Jew, Muslim, Atheist, etc. with goals to benefit the country. I am an Atheist and I know that I would absolutely vote for a Christian over an Atheist if they offered to help our dying economy, improve education in schools, benefit medical research, etc. Does this only occur in this are of the US or is it widespread?

If you're a Christian, why would you not WANT to obey the Christ's commandments?

Why would you WANT to do something different, if you really believed the Biblical teaching?

Is violating the commandments a form of doubt? Or is free-will not so absolute?

21For when they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God, nor were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man, and to birds and fourfooted beasts and creeping things.

24Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies among themselves.

25They changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

About 5 years ago at a very low point in my life, some people came to my door and gave me a watchtower magazine, or book, or whatever it's called. Anyway, they seemed very kind. However, all I ever see from JW's in here is cutting remarks about "apostates" and people being disfellowshipped! You guys don't seem as kind as the Witnesses who came to my door.

Why can white people have "Italian Pride Festivels" and where shirts that say "Everyone Loves and Irish girl". Have huge Greek Parades, that block busy streets for hours.

Yet if a black person was to where a shirt that says "Everyone loves a black girl" or have a "Black Pride Parade" it would be totally unexceptible. And when a black person wears and afro and African style clothing they are too Afro-centric.??

We have to just be BLACK since we don't know where exactly we are from. But why is it okay for a white girl to say "Im italian and I loooooooooooove it", but people roll their eyes when someone says "I'm black and I loooooooooove it. WHY????

Here are six reasons why you should think before you speak -
the last one is great!
Have you ever spoken and wished that you could
immediately take the words back...
or that you could crawl into a hole?
Here are the Testimonials of a few people who did....

FIRST TESTIMONY:
I walked into a hair salon with my husband and three kids in tow and asked
loudly,
'How much do you charge for a shampoo and a ********?'
I turned around and walked back out and never went back.
My husband didn't say a word...
he knew better.

SECOND TESTIMONY:
I was at the golf store comparing different kinds of golf balls.
I was unhappy with the women's type I had been using.
After browsing for several mi nutes, I was approached by one of the
good-looking gentlemen who works at the store.
He asked if he could help me.
Without thinking, I looked at him and said, 'I think I like playing with
mens balls'

THIRD TESTIMONY:
My sister and I were at the mall and passed by a store that sold a variety
of candy and nuts.
As we were looking at the display case, the boy behind the counter asked if
we needed any help.
I replied, 'No, I'm just looking at your nuts.'
My sister started to laugh hysterically.
The boy grinned, and I turned beet-red and walked away.
To this day,my sister has never let me forget.

FOURTH TESTIMONY :
While in line at the bank one afternoon,
my toddler decided to release some pent-up energy and ran amok.
I was finally able to grab hold of her after receiving looks of disgust and
annoyance from other patrons.
I told her that if she did not start behaving
'right now' she would be punishe d .
To my horror, she looked me in the eye and said in a voice just as
threatening,
'If you don't let me go right now, I will tell Grandma that I saw you
kissing Daddy's pee-pee last night!'
The silence was deafening after this enlightening exchange.
Even the tellers stopped what they were doing.
I mustered up the last of my dignity and walked out of the bank with my
daughter in tow.
The last thing I heard when the door closed behind me, were screams of
laughter.

FIFTH TESTIMONY:
Have you ever asked your child a question too many times?
My three-year-old son had a lot of problems with potty training and I was on
him constantly.
One day we stopped at Taco Bell for a quick lunch, in between errands
It was very busy, with a full dining room.
While enjoying my taco, I smelled something funny, so of course I checked my
seven-month-old daughter, she was clean.
The realized that Danny had not asked to go potty in a w hi le. I asked him if
he needed to go,
and he said 'No' .
I kept thinking 'Oh Lord, that child has had an accident, and I don't have
any clothes with me.'
Then I said, 'Danny, are you SURE you didn't have an accident?'
'No,' he replied.
I just KNEW that he must have had an accident, because the smell was getting
worse.
Soooooo, I asked one more time, 'Danny did you have an accident ? This time
he jumped up, yanked down his pants, bent over, spread his cheeks and yelled
'SEE MOM, IT'S JUST FARTS!!'
While 30 people nearly choked to death on their tacos laughing, he calmly
pulled up his pants and sat down.
An old couple made me feel better,
thanking me for the best laugh they'd ever had!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST TESTIMONY:
This had most of the state of Michigan laughing for 2 days and a very
embarrassed female news anchor wh o w ill, in the future, likely think before
she speaks.
What happens when you predict snow but don't get any!
We had a female news anchor that, the day after it was supposed to have
snowed and didn't,
turned to the weatherman and asked:
'So Bob, where's that 8 inches you promised me last night?'
Not only did HE have to leave the set, but half the crew did too they were
laughing so hard!

Now, didn't that feel good?
Pass it on to someone you know who needs a laugh
and remember
we all say things we don't really mean,
so think before you speak!!!!!

For those who completely ignore and say "satan is behind it," the theory of evolution, I have to ask;

How can you be so blind to suggest that, despite all things changing, humans cannot change, when your very own religion has changed countless upon countless amounts of times.

Christianity is sprung from Catholicism. Buddhism is sprung from Hinduism (I'm Buddhist). Every day, they are making changes. There is the old testament and the new one? Did God need 2 chances to get it right?

Religion evolves do fit the society it is within. Right now, the issue is with Gays being aloud to be married (quite frankly, if you change your opinion and let them, what else are you willing to change?).

So, humans cannot evolve but their religion can. Why is it evolution is only what is convenient for the religious?

There is a saying that goes: "Hate the sin, not the sinner."

It is said a lot, so it must be a mistake that's made often.

Being oriented in any situation is something that you can use to make progress or overcome problems.

More blacks are murdered or assaulted in these cities than the entire population of Jena each year. Of course the crimes are perpetrated by other blacks. Nevertheless, the statistics are alarming. It seems that their effort and attention is misplaced. Do you think the demonstrators will march where there is a genuine documented problem? If not, why?
