Why does edit and delete appear on my answers and not on other pepes? Is it cos i is new - Level 1?

Because you can only edit or delete your own answers. Nothing to do with being new or level 1.
It's so if you make a mistake with an answer you can go in and change it or remove it if you wish. And it prevents anyone else from corrupting any answer you have given.

it appears to them too...only on their page visible only to them... you dont need to see and edit and delete on their answers because you wont be able to change their answers only yours

because its your answer, you cant edit or delete other people answers! that would cause mayhem!

wait til you get to level 2...you have a few more options then.
