as i believe we are all Muslims, i went to the Shia mosque and prayed with them the Friday prayer, they were respectful and i like the Khutbah (preaching). However i have question regarding the call of prayer. I have heard the Shia call of prayer, i noticed it has been added to it "Ali walyo Allah....etc.." . my question is: When prophet Muhammad (S) command Bilal to call people toward prayer, did he really said this?

so if you know that this is not what the prophet Muhammad and his companions did, then why change the Islamic call of prayer?

First of all, I apologize for the moron sect of Christianity that use bollhorns and browbeating. It is a disgrace to the message of Christ.

Is there any part of the Christian message that you agree with and think has a positive impact for the world?

My mother likes to separate the forks in the utensil divider based on the length of the tines in the drawer. I just throw them all in the fork section of the divider. My ex had me put paper towels between each pan and place the can goods in order in the kitchen cabinet

I asked (in summary), If you by Free Will choose to violate Christ's commandments, is that a form of doubt? Or is free-will not so absolute?

Answers included:
-------
"it isn't a conscious choice that I hate God's law or want to disobey it"

"Free will is not absolute."

"if we could adhere perfectly to the commandments we wouldn't need a Savior in the first place."

"sometimes you can't always control your actions"

"at times we can entertain thoughts and become selfish and loose our self control"
-------
Each of these answers suggest that Christians experience Free Will as limited, i.e., there are things that we cannot do based on choice.

So what, then, are the limits of Free Will?

Is it conceivable that much of what we see as Free Will in others is in fact not their choice?

Over the weekend, I had to take my baby to the emergency room with a high fever. It was a rainy night.

When we got to the emergency room, the Emergency parking lot (close to the doors) was full of cars. I figured it must be a busy night at the emergency room. We wound up having to park all the way on the other side of the parking lot and walking across the lot with my sick baby in the rain. (Her dad is overseas. I had nobody along to just drop us off at the door)

When I got in the emergency room, I found out that there was only one person there, and all the other cars were people that had come to wait and find out about him. It was obviously very serious- they were all upset.

My question is, though, if you aren't dropping someone off at the emergency room, should you not park in the other lot and leave emergency parking available for people who actually are bringing sick or injured people in? What if instead of a sick baby I was bringing an elderly person with a broken leg?

Those rules - the ones in the OT - were given to the Children of Israel, and NEVER applied to non-Jews. Somehow, the expectation that non-believers should adhere to 613 commandments crept into the post-Judaic manifestation of monotheism.

God (in the Old Testament, where these rules appear) expects non-Jews to follow the Noahide laws to achieve salvation. Is it so hard to support the Word of God?

My neighbor comes over almost daily uninvited. It is usually when I just sit down to relax, and I don't always feel like visiting. No subtle hints work. No matter what I say, she just comes on in anyway. Not answering the door doesn't work either, because if she sees my car, she lets her dog come through my doggy door, on it's leash, until I come to the door, and my dog starts going nuts. If that doesn't work then she goes home and calls. When I have tried telling her I don't feel like visiting, she acts hurt. I know she is lonely, and I wouldn't mind her visiting sometime, but would prefer she call first. It also isn't a short 10 minute visit -- on weekends she sometimes stays close to an hour! I don't want to hurt her feelings. How should I handle this?
