My job entails answering reader snail mail, and I receive many letters with return addresses that don't include street clarification (such as the word road or boulevard.) A typical letter will look like this:

234 Harrison
Boulder, CO 55555

I have received MANY letters addressed like this (even on resumes) while working at two different companies now. Is including a street label optional? Where is everyone getting the idea to do this?

My friends who have had sports or gym with me say I'm ripped (full and defined six pack, chest muscles, forearms, and biceps) and gave me the name Xerxes, after the Spartan king from the movie 300. I was thinking of wearing an authentic Spartan soldier uniform to school and to practice on Halloween.

Good or bad idea?

"Christianity...[has become] the most perverted system that ever shone on man....Rogueries, absurdities and untruths were perpetrated upon the teachings of Jesus by a large band of dupes and imposters led by Paul, the first great corrupter of the teaching of Jesus." ------ Thomas Jefferson

“There is strong reason to believe that St. Paul fabricated the belief system of Christianity from Zoroastrian mythology. In order to hide Paul’s plaigerism… Christians burned the library of Alexandria in 390 A.D. Books in that library kept Mithra’s original story of what Pauline Doctrine is an almost exact copy. (George Sarton , Introduction to History of Sciences) ,

The Christian Trinity is a copy of the Pagan religion of Rome called Mithraism. Mithra was a half man half god who died for the sins of his followers. Guess what date the SUN god Mithra was born on ? - Thats right ...December 25th

The concept of God having a son is the basis of most Polytheistic religions and the exact opposite of the Abrahamic message of Monotheism. Your Lord is ONE – no partner, no Son , No God incarnate.

“The son-ship of Jesus Christ is the greatest fiction of human history.” (Lord Bishop of Canterbury Commission, the Spiritual Head of England, 1910.)

“The son-ship of Jesus Christ, the Trinity, the blood sacrifice of the lamb of God, atonement are not the teachings of Jesus. These are all inventions of Saint Paul who never really met Jesus.” (Hastings Rashdall, The Theory of Good and Evil)

One of the gifts I can give my kids is my faith. It seems that a lot of it involves evangelical beliefs--we have moved away ffrom such churches and leaders to a church which emphasizes social justice. Yet, I want them to respect other religions even though we have our own. Any ideas.

I believe that sexuality is just another human trait... equal to race, religion, height, gender, weight, hair colour, eye colour, etc...
However... A friend of mine says that sexuality is different than the others because sexuality hinders gay people in their everyday lives...
I say that gays contribute to this 'hindrance' by making a big deal out of it...
Homosexuals would like for sexuality to be just like all of the other things I named...
Yet they obviously don't believe it themselves.
If they thought that sexuality was like the rest, then they wouldn't have parades and all kinds of organizations and alliances...
I dunno...
I'm gay myself... But I think that it's often blown far out of proportion... by both gays and straights alike...

I am blessed that I along with my husband are hosting a party at our home. We will have appetizers and desserts. In past parties because I LOVE being around people I have gotten wound up, excited and hyper, what is a good way to relax hosting a party so the attention is on others and not myself? What is the proper way to introduce people at a party?

i mean if i believed in a religion i wouldnt think that "i am human like everybody else" or " i am a sinner since i am imperfect" is valid...since if i believe and you dont i dont think we both have the same level of responsability...
It is like a plane pilot sleeping on flight and when the plane is falling he saying: "well i am human like everybody else and i can make mistakes".
if one believes something, one is much more responsible about everything connected to whatever he/she believes than people who dont believe.
A christian may think that an atheist sinning is a bad thing (but an atheist doesnt know god) but a christian (who claims having a personal relationship with god) sinning is much worse.
So who are christians trying to convince and convince of what exactly, when saying "we are all imperfect and we all sin"???

If it's a sin to be gay/lesbian, why would god create people that way then? Just wondering.

I mean this with the utmost respect:
What exactly do you practice? Do you worship any kind of idol or deity? What do you believe in? Do you practice the occult? What made you decide to practice this belief? and any other information you can give me about your ideals and beliefs.

I'm asking this because I like learning about different beliefs and in no way am I ridiculing anyone or trying to impose a faith onto you.

there are many denominations of christian depending on just details: mormons, baptist, anglicans, witnesses, catholics...
why is that christians are so easily separated? why is there no unity between them? why just by believing jesus was blond would separte some christians from the ones who believe he had no hair?
isnt there a "something" to keep them together? why is that they "attack" each other?
