"Christianity...[has become] the most perverted system that ever shone on man....Rogueries, absurdities and untruths were perpetrated upon the teachings of Jesus by a large band of dupes and imposters led by Paul, the first great corrupter of the teaching of Jesus." ------ Thomas Jefferson

“There is strong reason to believe that St. Paul fabricated the belief system of Christianity from Zoroastrian mythology. In order to hide Paul’s plaigerism… Christians burned the library of Alexandria in 390 A.D. Books in that library kept Mithra’s original story of what Pauline Doctrine is an almost exact copy. (George Sarton , Introduction to History of Sciences) ,

The Christian Trinity is a copy of the Pagan religion of Rome called Mithraism. Mithra was a half man half god who died for the sins of his followers. Guess what date the SUN god Mithra was born on ? - Thats right ...December 25th

The concept of God having a son is the basis of most Polytheistic religions and the exact opposite of the Abrahamic message of Monotheism. Your Lord is ONE – no partner, no Son , No God incarnate.

“The son-ship of Jesus Christ is the greatest fiction of human history.” (Lord Bishop of Canterbury Commission, the Spiritual Head of England, 1910.)

“The son-ship of Jesus Christ, the Trinity, the blood sacrifice of the lamb of God, atonement are not the teachings of Jesus. These are all inventions of Saint Paul who never really met Jesus.” (Hastings Rashdall, The Theory of Good and Evil)

Winter solstice, the sun lies low in the sky moving imperceptibly for three days. On the third day it begins to rise again. Sound familiar? It's not just Mithra either. There are many other such myths and legends that also conform to this template, myths and legends that pre-date christianity.

I don't know if it was Paul or somebody else who copied it, but your info sounds about right, as far as I can tell.

The quotes (including the thought posed in the question) come from those rejected by the christian mainstream, both then and now. It's also out of line with the Bible and earlier Biblical prophecy.

I'd opt for consistent theology over stuff made of legends (The Da Vinci Code anyone?) any day.

How could Paul been the origin of the concept of "Son of God" since many others, including Jesus himself, acknowledged Jesus as the Son of God prior to Paul?

John the Baptist: "And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God." Joh 1:34

Nathanael answered and said to Him, "Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!" Joh 1:49

Jesus said, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Joh 3:16
Joh 10:36 "do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God‘?

His Enemies: Joh 19:7 The Jews answered him, "We have a law, and according to our law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God."

Mark: Mr 1:1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

John: 1Jo 4:15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

The Ethiopian: Ac 8:37 Then Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."

Just the mere fact that these people claim these things seem to convince people wholly. The idea that Jesus was born December 25th, is one of the FABLES the Apostle Paul prophesied (II Tim. 4:4) would deceive the world in these latter days.

That's interesting. I think that Jesus was hugeley misrepresented. If you look at his impact on the Bible, at how much more peace and love are in the new testament compared to the old, it seems unlikely that the wise man who caused that change would also have said so many of the horrible things attributed to him.

Then why did Peter say this about Paul? I wouldn't put trust in what unbelievers say about anyone or anything regarding scripture and truth. Paul was chosen by God. His credentials were far above any of those you listed above. Besides that, Jesus himself allowed people to call him God. Thomas in the book of John did so. Jesus did not rebuke him. Paul's message was Jesus saves - not works.

2 Peter 3:
15 and consider that the long-suffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, 16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.

There is absolutely nothing original in the writings of Paul....christianity, as well as Judaism evolved from the fertility cults of ancient Mesopotamia....
